This lens consistently produces excellent images, especially in low light. Great walk around lens and for those times when you don't want to use a flash.

This is a must have if you plan to make photography your business or hobby. I bought this lense a month earlier from another online company and was disappointed. The box looked like it was wet and went though a car wash. It also took 6 days to get to me. After returning it I bought again on Bestbuy.com. I got it in 3 days and it looked like it came straight from canon. Great product great service, thanks.

Great lens, it works awesome in low light! the aperture allows for great depth of fields! plus for the price its really worth it a must have for all people getting into photography!

I am loving this 50mm 1.4 prime. It's great for shots of groups or portraits. It is an all around great lens. It does wonderful in low light.

The lens isn’t the sharpest in the bag. The edges will bend and the USM isn’t a real USM. But I love this lens. It’s faster to focus than the 1.8 and the 1.4 bokeh is amazing. This lens made me fall in love with my camera all over again

If you're looking to get that professional touch to your every day photographs, take more low light pictures without a flash, and don't have $1200 to drop on Canon's f1.2 50mm, this is an awesome lens. It will show you the true power of DSLR and why cell phones will never replace a dedicated camera system. Be aware, this is a tool designed to do a specific task, there's not zoom function, no wide angle mode, you'll need a different lens for that.

Had the 50mm 1.8 and finally got to upgrade to the 50mm 1.4. I'm really enjoying be able to shoot with more natural light. Looking forward to taking some Christmas light shots here in the next week or so. If you can, just go the little bit extra and get this one instaed of the 1.8. This lens is a bit more sturdy. I liked my 50mm 1.8, and the price was great, but I had went through two of them and just felt with all the other reviews that it was time to upgrade. Very glad I did.

Im a starting photographer . Recommend for people learning or starting. I think due to funds, I will stick with it for a while. it works amazing and my go to for every session. Love it.
