The lens is fast and takes great sports shots. I had looked at a non-Canon 150-600 lens but am happy with this choice. For less money it still gets you plenty close to the action and takes clear pictures.

I use this on the 5D Mark IV. It’s a good lens. Not too heavy and the photos are pretty sharp. It’s not “L” glass and definitely sometime you can feel that difference if you have any prime lenses but for this price you really can’t go wrong. It’s a nice sturdy build, with really good focus speed. I would recommend to anyone who wants that extra reach for a lighter price tag.

I purchased this to replace a Tamron lens that was having problems, lens errors anytime zoomed to long range. This lens focuses very quickly and VERY quietly. I've used on Canon EOS 3 film camera and 60D, 5D Mk III, no issues on any camera so far. Just wish it came with lens hood and case.

I wanted an upgrade from the kit lens and I couldn’t be happier. I have taken pics of my granddaughters soccer games and they have turned out great. I’m anxious for grandson’s basketball now.

I'm very pleased with this lens and it produces very sharp and crisp images. My camera body is a Rebel T3i and I decided to invest money into good quality, affordable lenses. The first outing with this lens was to a botanical garden/zoo and the images noticeably better than my 55-250 I used previously. With an APS-C sensor, this gives the equiv of 480mm and a very good reach.

I've been into photography for years and have been into Canon equipment for most of that time. This lens replaces the non image stabilized version I've been using for about 15 years now. Wow, what an improvement! I'm almost 70 and just not as steady as I once was holding the telephoto. The IS makes all the difference and the auto focus is so much faster, I should have gotten this sooner. I would love to be able to afford the Canon "L" series lenses but this lens is more than adequate. I'm using a T7 body with an APS-C sensor the lens "sweet spot" is right in the main focal area so any small edge distortion of the image is not an issue. This lens' coverage area is designed for full frame so using it with the APS increases the magnification factor from 70-300 mm to 112-480 mm, a nice bonus. All in all I'm very satisfied with my new lens. Yes its not an L series, It has a plastic body not metal, its not weather sealed but its also not $1000 more than I spent. For me it was a great upgrade. If you must have professional quality go ahead but one would be hard pressed to appreciate the difference if you're a novice, an experienced amateur or just plain on a budget. Buy this lens you won't regret it.

I purchased this lens a couple of weeks ago because I needed a better zoom lens to photograph my daughter's lacrosse games. So far, I really like it! The pictures are crisp and the zoom @ 300 is so much better than my other lens. I am also happy with how it shoots in low light/night situations. This is an amazing mid level lens!

For the cost of this lens, then performance is awesome! The focus tracking with the focal length extended is insanely good. I look forward to many years of fast moving birds and other wildlife.

Wanted a better lens for sports pictures. Very happy with it pairs well with rebel T8i. Shots look crisp and clear very little fuzz but once you go to 300mm it’s a little shaky no issues though, not sure about older cameras.

Are use this lens for pictures taken at Smokies Stadium in East Tennessee. It’s a great lens that gets amazing pictures even behind the netting at home plate. I can get amazing photos that I can crop on the camera and it looks like I was 5 feet from them

I use this lens for SO much. It’s a great replacement for the 70-200 if you’re on a budget. Just note that the lighting will be an issue if you don’t have a good light source. Great for daylight sports.

Much better than Canon's entry level zooms. Equivalent to a 112-480 on an APC sensor, and <1/3 the cost of an L series. Light enough to hand hold. Softens some at full zoom, but usable shots. Fast and quiet auto focus.
