You sacrifice a little by not having image stabilization, but if you’re an amateur or you are using external stabilization like a tripod and wireless shutter, stabilization shouldn’t be much of an issue.

Decent lens at an amazing price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this lens with the Canon Rebel and Best Buy gave me an amazing deal that I could not pass up. With the deal in consideration, this lens is a great investment, especially for a video B-camera or for high-risk shooting where you don't want to jeopardize a $1K or more lens. I find the range to be acceptable and it has a decent depth of field. I wish it was a little faster, but I fully understand that if I want speed, I really should pay for it. In the end, it was a great purchase that has served me well!!
