having a zoom lens is a life saver

It worked great while on vacation to Italy, i just had to keep still for the camera to have an extra clear photo. If it is not part of a bundle i would spend the extra money for the one that has image stabilization.

More than Expected for Price

The only drawback is that is does not have s stabilizer function so images tend to come out blurred if you do not use a tri/uni pod. This lens by far does not compare to any high end lens but for a photographer long to get about 50-100 ft shots with little motion is a great choice.
