I just recently upgraded to the 6D from a Canon Rebel T3. Huge difference since making the jump from crop sensor into full frame. I can never go back to a crop sensor ever. The quality of the camera is very durable, my only issue is i wish they had the joystick like the mark iii does. I shoot variety of things from concerts, fashion and fine art photography. I can use this camera for any of them with out an issue especially with the 6D's sensitive sensor focal point, pretty much can focus in the lowest lighting conditions no problem which was another reason i purchased! I love the wifi on the camera, I can have clients look via iphone, computer or ipad when they connect to my camera. Easiest tethering method ever, with that being said just know the wifi sucks the battery juice so its wise to shut it off unless really needing it. 11 focal points compared to 9 isnt that much of a big deal, but i choose focal points and lock in my focus and adjust for framing so i really dont have an issue but i wouldve loved to have the mark iii's focal point number. I really really love this camera to death. definitely will sit in my bag and on my shoulder for a long time to come! I really suggest this for those who are making way into full frame. Consider this over the old canon 5D mark ii. So what are you waiting for? GO! BUY THIS CAMERA!

The EOS 6D replaces an EOS 5D (original model) bought in 2006. While not as solid feeling as the 5D, it excels in all other dimensions. Image quality with the EF 16 - 35 mm f/4L IS lens is excellent. The wide ISO sensitivity range is great for astrophotography. One area for improvement is the number of focus points for more flexibility with wildlife shots.

Purchased the camera as a second camera for a recent trip. Needed a full frame camera and this seemed like a perfect fit. It is exactly what I needed and wanted. Turns out I even used the video mode and was really pleased by the results. Need a second battery if you are going to use the video. The GPS function is a really nice feature especially putting them on an IPAD shows exactly where we were on the trip.

i read reviews about this body before the 77d came out and wanted to get the 77d. Well, as I stated in my review for the 77d, the body was too small for my large hands, which prompted my to by the 6d. The camera guru in the Shreveport, La Best Buy convinced me to buy this and I'm glad i did. The WI-Fi has REALLY impressed me! If you're having trouble with it, be patient and LEARN what to do.
Pictures are sharp with ANY CANON lens i use with it! color saturation is incredible! One thing you need to remember AND master--there is a setting on board, in the menu-where you choose according to the light source, for example: flash, tungsten, daylight, window light, etc. USE THIS AND REMEMBER IT!! Another tip: Use a Canon flash. Another tip: use the Canon TS9020 printer if you will be printing pics yourself. An EXCELLENT printer. (I reviewed it already on here) Use Canon paper. Yes, all of this DOES make a difference.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY 6D! I was debating between this and the 5diii, and had to go with this one due to budget issues. After much research, with the type of photography I do, there were not many differences besides the lack of dual memory card slots (useful for weddings and big events) and (the 6d) having 11 focus points vs 64 (markiii) which would be best for action shots or a lot of motion. I definitely made a good decision!

The Camera produces very nice Image. The camera is very quick to focus. I love the full frame with my lenses I am able to get the photograph that I need. I'm so happy to have this camera because my images have improved so much using this camera with the full frame and low by capabilities.

This camera is an incredible addition to my photography bag. It's the first real full frame CMOS sensor I've had and I'm IMPRESSED thoroughly. The shots are incredibly sharp in all ISO available on the camera (obviously the latter numbers a bit more grainy). But overall, perfect for portraiture and every day life/events. I've only shot one wedding with it so far but the quality of photos is drastically different than the rebel series or 40D, 50D, 60D, etc even without using prime lenses. I would definitely recommend this to everyone looking to upgrade to a full frame and stay in a reasonable price range. Added is a photo I snapped during a wedding with the camera so you can see even in dark shadows and window light it's beautiful!

I bought this as a backup to my 5DMIII. I did a lot of research and tested the 6D and got great results. Great color, low noise at high ISO's, lots of the same qualities as the higher end pro camera plus features that they don't include. I love the wifi... I sync with my iphone via Wifi (very simple) then can share immediately from my location instead of waiting to get access to a computer. The GPS has helped pinpoint locations when we've gone out scouting. My main reason for buying and ultimately the main reason for keeping is the fact that the 6D is full frame and shoots video comparable to the 5DMIII. I highly recommend this camera over the 5DMII, 7D, 60d, etc. A few people have posted about issues with moire, but hardly enough reason to pass up on this camera.
+ Uses the same batteries and EF lenses as the 5DMIII.
- DOES NOT have a headphone jack.

The model is old, but still a good full-frame camera, especially since I got it for a deal with the clearance/sale price. Chose this instead of the 6D II as there are some issues with the newest models. And 5D is at a higher price range to commit to.

As I get older (I'm in my early 60s) I find that hand-holding a heavy DSLR gets more and more difficult. Thus I was happy to find this full-frame camera to replace my heavier Canon 5D Mark II. The image quality is everything you would expect from a top of the line Canon, but the camera weighs considerably less than a 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III or 1D. The GPS and WiFi capabilities are fun to use. The shutter noise quieting mode works pretty well, although it's not as quiet as a mirrorless camera such as the Sony RX-1.

My previous DSLR was a Canon60D so the learning curve was relatively small. I got the Canon quality I was used to and the weight is very close to the 60D.

I purchased this camera as an upgrade from my cropped sensor Canon T6 and let me tell you, i do not regret it one bit. Sure the price may seem a little steep but this is a full frame camera you're paying for. It has a much bigger sensor so it allows a lot more light in, therefore performs very well in low light situations. I have used this camera for several months and have enjoyed every moment with it. Very solid feeling device.

The 6D is the best! I have two and have been shooting with them (weddings, portraits, event, etc) for over a year now. The only thing I wish was different is the focal points. If you want one with more, you can pay basically double for the 5Diii. I shoot with the 50/1.2, 35/2.0 and the 28-135mm. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck, this is it!

This camera is amazing. It's light but has a heavy number of options for all photogs. The 6d is exceptional in low light and with the top lenses gives some fabulous results. If you wait much longer you will probably want to go with the 7d mark II because of better focusing and quicker, more powerful features. But back to the 6d - this is simple enough for anyone but also has the features that will attract very good pros as well. Finally, it's also crazy quiet which is a big plus at weddings and other public events.

For all the goodies you get this camera does everything better than the DX. Had the DX but its to loud, to heavy, to complicated. It has no reason to be that way.
THIS camera gets it right. Quiet - as in sound - at any speed, very high quality image - especially at night with a 1.8. Easy to handle with a simple menu structure like my 5D's.
The focus is only slightly slow. Have not had to micro-focus adjust any lens. Probably because we only use Non-IS "L" lenses on a tripod for maximum studio quality. Color match with our 6500 lighting is spot on. Verified with our MacBeth Color Checker. Okay, so its X-Rite now.
The price only makes it that much more a great body.

I've had the Rebel T3i DSLR for years! This camera went on sale and I just took the leap of faith and got it.
Love it! Takes beautiful photographs, I had to relearn all the buttons and where all the functions are but with the manual it was pretty easy to get used to and navigate.
Even the noise the shutter makes is so beautiful! I can bump up the ISO and I get so much less noise. Truly a great buy.

Great in low light. Easy to change the tons of settings. Takes great pictures indoors without a flash.
