I've shot with this for about 8 months, used only for stills, so can't comment on video quality. Some great captures of landscapes, waterfalls, sports action, and birds in flight. Auto focus works well. Would be nice to have a bit faster frame rate. Criticisms about dynamic range are overblown- not quite as good as cameras costing 2-3 times as much. Seem less transition from any of the XXD cameras. I'm very pleased with the performance overall.

This thing caught a lot of flack from the photography community but I think it does what a camera is supposed to do it takes great photos and pair it together with a decent lens and editing software and your pretty set

Love this camera. Take it everywhere i go. Easy to use presettings for various types of shooting. Great quality shots at all settings. Gets great low light shots when set it manual mode and long exposure shots. (Tripod recommended for both.) Camera works even better with the battery grip for extended shooting and easy of portrait shots. Works great with various EF lenses for any kind of shooting. This was my first DSLR purchase after trying out a Rebel T5.

Grew up on Canon film bodies, the 'ftb' and AE-1. Then my family gave me a Nikon D80. Used the D80 for 10 years. My Nikon died and I wanted an upgrade from a Canon t3i that I received as a gift. I was looking at all 3 major camera makers. The mirrorless looks cool and promising, but the bodies are smaller and not easy to hold. The Canon 6D MII feels good in my hand, easy to hold, easy to shoot just like my D80. My only concern is the kit lens, the 24-105 f/3.5-6.3. I know there are other options, and I would have preferred the 24-70 f/4, or the 24-105 f/4 L as kit lens options. Best Buy only had the combo of the 6D with the f/3.5 lens. That being said, I still like the Canon 6D MII. I can't say love because the photos are just not what I expected from a full frame sensor. I'll just have save up to purchase a better lens.

Love this DSLR! Really great photos. I bit big and heavy for small (female) hands, but other wise no complaints. Paired with the right lens(es) you can really make magic.

I was surprising how good this camera really is. I'm an amateur/hobbyist and was looking to step up from a 5+ year old Canon T3i to something with a full-frame sensor. Only very minor drawback is this is a bit heavy, but it seemed most cameras I considered were heavier than my T3I

I tried to do as much research on purchasing a new camera and I decided on the Canon 6D Mark ii. I know people have their qualms about it, no 4K video being a big one but coming from a Canon T3i way up to this I don’t have much to complain about. Going from a crop sensor to a full frame has been a wonderful discovery. I didn’t like the kit lens that came with the T3i so I had invested in non zoom lenses (thank goodness they were full frame lenses so I can still use them) but the 24-105mm that came with the camera does wonders for me. The picture quality is much better than what I’m used to. I look forward to expanding my skill with this camera.

Several people use the camera with varying levels of expertise. It works well for those who know nothing about photography, as it can be used as a point-and-shoot camera. But it also has enough options and capabilities that even the experienced photographer can get the ideal shots.

I def have to learn the touch screen, that is all new to me. However, I'm not saying it is a bad camera, but it is an amazing camera! I thought the STM lens would be fine and work similar to the L lens kit, but being a photographer I WAS WRONG. I went out and got the L Len and I'm glad I switched before any shoots. I took it out and was so unhappy with the STM lens. I realized I just should have put all the money forth and gotten the L lens for a bit more. Trust me...you won't regret it. Didn't expect such a difference.

Havent taken many photos since my old Minolta back in late 80s. Jumped in head first with this 6D MII. More features than I can shake a stick at. Having to get a help guide to get past learning curve. Especially like the swing around LCD screen. Will be doing product reviews and knowing what I'm filming make the process much easier.
