Awesome Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting this camera for a couple of years and it definitely did not disappoint. The quality is amazing and the lens that comes with the kit is pretty good. Just used this at a recent wedding and it performed flawlessly!

I love the canon 70D!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic camera to have if you're stepping up from the rebel series in Canon. You'll see a huge upgrade and a great improvement. The video recording on this camera is also excellent. I was asked spur of the moment to record an engagement and I had been worried about the camera not picking up much noise, but it picked up noise great without having to add an attachment. I'm very impressed with this camera! I love it.

More camera than I bargained for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that this weighs less than my 60D, focuses and shoots faster and sharper. The variety of presets and and features is amazing, but I don't like having to dial through submenus to find stuff and miss having the sport mode setting very "out-front and visible" on a dial. It's more complicated than I care for and takes getting used to. I also find it harder than my previous cameras to go back and forth between view finder and screen. But all in all, I really do love it; I'm just not sure it was worth paying half again as much as I paid for the 60D.

Absolutely LOVE this camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a beginner photographer. I was ready to begin my transition to a "real" camera. I was able to purchase the camera in a package deal so I felt that I got a good price. Detailed photos in low light and I took a photo of a ceiling fan on low speed and was amazed that the photo I took was so clear that the fan looked like it was off because the blades were so in focus. I took pictures at Disney's Hollywood Studios Villains Unleashed Party and they are great! I took a photo of Constantine the evil frog from Muppets Most Wanted through a glass door at night through a crowd of people and it is so clear! I let a friend with more experience "play" with my camera because he has an older SLR and he was so jealous. I haven't tried the video mode yet. If you are looking for a starter SLR camera this is the one to get.

Nice camera but.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice camera, good feel, very good button layouts, easy to use, love the articulating LCD touch screen but...we were very disappointed with the quality of photos taken thru the view finder and we expected it to be much better than our old Sony A-100. It didn't. This camera gave no guarantee to get sharp photos of subject targeted. Either you get it or you're screwed. Multi auto-focus points were one of the culprits. Camera does not know where to focus on subject we wanted so it gave approximate focus point or randomly picked the closest object. As a result, we get blurred photos of subject more often. That was in Auto mode. We switched to Program mode where it allowed us to set multi point to single point auto-focus, it improved the focusing a lot better and it helped with the quality of photos but we still had trouble with the sharpness in a lot of them. However, using Live View feature gave much better photo quality because it allowed us to touch the subject on LCD screen we wanted to focus on and miraculously it worked every time. Beautiful and stunning photos. The cons of using Live View: delayed shutter response and difficult to view LCD screen when outdoors on a sunny day. We have spent 2 weeks fiddling with lens micro adjustments in the Canon 70D hoping it would resolve our issues. It helped to some degree but it never really resolved it with sharpness quality when taking photos thru the view finder. Some have suggested that the lens may be causing the problem but the Live View feature have ruled that out. We really liked this camera because of the design and the button layouts were very similar to our Sony A-100 but the issues we had forced is to return it and now trying out the Nikon D5500... So far this Nikon is good....

Great camera, especially for skilled photographers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has been great for both photo and video. I bought it primarily for video, but I recently shot the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals in San Jose, and got some of the best hockey shots I have ever taken with any camera.

Great upgrade from the 30D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Canon user since the 30D and decided it was time to upgrade to something that had the megapixels for larger photos. The focus is fast and the ability to take action shots without hitting the buffer limits really helps in action shooting. I'm new to the movie clips and am impressed how easy it is. Battery is simply amazing. I can fill a 32 gig chip on one charge!

Perfect just perfect.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy DSLR cameras and the 70D has to be my all time favorite. I'm a little upset I bought it so close to when the 80D came out but I saved close to 500 by doing so. The 70D has been rock solid and I love it.
