Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second camera ever purchased and hands down beats my 7d. The pros of this product includes a very good auto focusing system as well as good beginner and professional friendly way of operating. The only con this camera has is the fact that it's not a full frame camera but other than that it's the bomb.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pretty green to photography and only have basic concepts down. However I absolutely love this camera. It is very easy to use and has everything I need: great quality photos, self timer, black and white options, focal points with blurred background, etc. the only suggestion is I would buy a lens that zooms a bit more. The 135 mm one that comes with it doesn't go very far at all.

Best mid sized DSLR for the enthusiast today
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to stop lugging around both a HD Video and a photo camera and the 70D makes that easy. I have been trying to use the much less $$$ EOM camera for a year. Nice size, nice photos, but frustrating slow focus, focus correction, and shot lag. An excellent camera otherwise. I've been researched reviews and tests and the 70D was rated pretty good at both photos and video. It is easy to set up and use, especially if you have any canon camera experience. The EF-S STM lenses focus is silent and fast. The 70D tracks subjects and focus extremely well. With live view you can change focus point by dragging your finger across the screen. All that is missing for the pro-sumer is a power zoom. I don't use wireless except for off camera flash, although sending a photo to my iPhone for quick distribution may come in handy. If you are recording video and snap a picture, the video recording will be interrupted for a couple seconds, if that is important to you. Has both an optical SLR viewfinder and a large LCD touch screen that can be flipped around... but you will see that in several formal reviews. The camera just feels right, everything in its place. Integrates with both FCP and Aperture seamlessly. The camera is pricey, but a value compared to others with similar capability.

My first DSLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are alot of features that this camera has that I may never use but it's worth the extra cost over smaller cameras like the Rebel 5i. I love the WiFi feature that allows me to transfer pics from the camera to my smartphone (GS5). It takes great , clear pictures fast and I'm sure that I won't outgrow this camera in the next few years. Easy to use and you can get onto YouTube and discover other things this can do if it's your first camera like it was for me. Got it for taking baby pictures and small movies of her plus vacation pictures when we take cruises.

Great Upgrade to Beginner DSLRs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started out with DSLR photography with a Canon T1i and had many years of great photos and gained lots of experience using it. I then hit a point where I wanted more out of my DSLR and didn't want to spend a lot a lot for a full frame camera. Then I found the Canon 70D and it was an excellent upgrade to further my learning of DSLR photography. The Canon 70D provided me features I wanted more from a DSLR, such as faster auto focusing, better low light capability and an articulating touchscreen for those tricky shots. The easy to access Live View function is a major plus and I use it often to get those shots with great exposures without needing to edit them later.

The wifi feature really pays off if you like to share images on social media. A lot of people say this camera is mostly for video shooting but you can use it for anything with the right lens.

A fantastic crop sensor camera, one major flaw...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this camera almost 6 months, bought it here at BestBuy, not going to go into a full review, you can go to DP Review or Ken Rockwell for that, but I will say this, the Canon 70D is an incredible value for the money, I bought it with the 18-135 STM IS lens, a fantastic combo for video. I use prime lenses for stills, fantastic image quality, when focusing with the LiveView on the LCD that is, which brings me to this otherwise fantastic camera serious flaw... Focusing with the view finder is poor at best, after finding this out by running several controlled tests, and after doing a search for "70D view finder focus" on the net, there is now doubt, Canon has an issue with this, a big one... Again, this is a fantastic camera, and probably the best for video as of now, incredible pictures as well when using the 2 pixel Live View focusing, but unfortunately the view finder focusing issue is just to important, and that is why I took away 2 stars from an otherwise 5 shinning stars potential with all the other pluses... Just do a search for 70 View Finder focusing, and you will see why, or run your own tests at home, on a tripod, same targets, one with LCD focus, and one with View Finder, compare them at 100% view on you favorite software, and you will see the issue. I am keeping my 70D, I do a lot of video and this camera has been fantastic for that, I also own a 6D and I used that one for my still photography, since my style of shooting requires viewfinder focusing....

Wonderful camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second digital SLR camera, I've had it for over a year and just love it. On the basic setting it takes great pictures, the flash works great in a dimly lit room to provide enough light to get a great picture. the creative settings take a bit of practice, but the user manual and manufacturer website are very helpful--bring the manual with you so you can reference the correct settings for night time pictures, action pictures, etc. I plan on purchasing another longer zoom lens in the future so I can take better pictures of wildlife.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought this it was an upgrade for me. I previously had a smaller older canon. I have to say super used friendly, love all the features and how advanced the camera is. Also very crisp clear pictures. I would recommend this to anyone.

What I have been waiting for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the 60D already but when I played with this I knew I needed to add it to my kit. The auto focus alone was worth buying it, but the fast focusing lens and the more professional feel to the camera made it even more of a must have. I stopped using my 60D all the time as I was tired of downloading every picture on my desktop before I put it on the web, but with the wifi on the 70D I can do it anywhere with the ease of my phone. Love it!
