I bought this camera mostly for green screen filming and VLOGING. I would recommend this over any of the rebel cameras. Auto focus is incredible!

I primarily shoot street photography but had an increasing need for a solid camera to do video work. This camera achieves that and so much more! I have coupled it with the versatile L series 24-105mm lens. After years of using my iPhone and borrowing other friends DSLRs, I decided to make the leap and purchase a camera of my own. I have not been disappointed. Low light sensitivity is great and comparable to my experiences with the 7D. Functionality is fast and intuitive. I love the touch screen, tap to focus is incredibly useful especially when shooting video in a crowded setting. While the crop sensor may not be ideal for future photography projects, I plan on compensating with a 35mm lens. At the price point, this is an excellent entry level camera and after all, the most important qualities for good art in this medium are a good lens and a great eye!

I had been wanting to upgrade from my Canon T6. This is one of the Canon cameras I’d been looking at. I had watched several reviews on YouTube and decided on the 80D. I think for the price and features this one can’t be beat. I have been impressed with the pictures I’ve been able to take with it. It has definitely made me a better photographer.

This camera was purchased to replace an older DSLR (Canon Rebel T3i). I'm just getting started, but already am impressed with improved auto-focus and with the camera's ease of use.

The lcd (touch!) screen, auto focus capabilities, and overall versatility of this camera are impressive. It’s honestly unnerving how quiet and fast the autofocus is. Instead of twitching back and forth to get the subject in focus, it just kind of washes over like a wave. I bought a 10-18mm lens with this, and it is a fantastic setup for vlogging. The only minor issue I have is the low light performance (particularly with photos), but I think most of the noise I’ve experienced is due to the lens I have. Just invest in a lens with an f stop of 2.8 or lower and you should be fine in low light shooting.

The Canon 80D is an amazing step up from my previous Canon T3! And all previous lenses can still be used on the 80D. I am pleased with all of the features and I would recommend this camera to everyone interested in more than a point and shoot camera!

This is the 3 or 4th cannon we have purchased and it's the best. We upgraded from cannon 50d. I've been very amazed at how good this camera takes pictures. The touchscreen lcd makes it real easy to go through the settings and I love you can wireless sync photos to your computer.

I upgraded from an EOS rebel to the 80D. I took pictures of my sons at the State Swim Meet. We were quite a ways up in the bleachers so wasn't sure if it would capture action shots from that far away. I shouldn't have worried. With a 300MM lens, I was able to take pictures that were so clear, you could see water droplets falling off of them as they swam. They were not blurry or anything. A professional photographer was next to me taking shots with his camera and he was very impressed with the quality. He started talking ISO this and ISO that and was even more impressed when he saw mine adjusted the ISO automatically based on the lighting. Can't upload a photo because the size for each photo is large, but the detail is worth it!!!

This is the perfect camera for someone who is looking to upgrade from a point and shoot or from a rebel to something more professional. The Canon 80D has helped me grow my photography business by providing me with the hardware needed to create high-quality photographs and videos. This is a crop-sensor camera so it is still what I would consider just a step below a true professional camera but it can capture equally breathtaking photos, assuming you have the proper knowledge and conditions for shooting. Overall this camera is a fantastic investment for someone looking to take great photos! Just be sure to invest in some good Canon lenses as well! I bought this camera for my husband as a birthday/Father's day/Christmas gift. It replaces the Canon EOS 50D that he previously used (and now that I get to play with). This camera is lighter and we both enjoy how the LCD screen is now moveable. It takes absolutely beautiful pictures. I would purchase this again in a heart beat!

i love this camera. It is amazing, and has all the new features you would expect from Canon. Sure it doesnt have some features the Sony mirrorless do, but overall, it is an amazing camera and see myself using this for a very long time.
