Best DSLR that is not full frame

I have had this camera for 7 months and I am quite happy with it. IMO this is the best camera available that is not full frame, at a reasonable price. And it has features that the full frames do not have. I visit some unusual places that most Americans don't visit; I like that it is lighter than a full frame, yet durable. Put your money into a great lens that you can keep long term; cameras themselves become obsolete in a few years. Like any camera I have ever had the 80D has some quirks (maybe the 80D has ADD?) but it is still a great camera. If it were stolen I would not hesitate to buy another. If money were no object, I would still buy this again due to its light weight, durability, many features, and reasonable cost.

I’ve had many canon cameras. Love the quality and dependability since the AE1 days. This 80D is another fantastic camera. WiFi is nice but the picture quality and reliability make it my choice.

Canon makes a superior product. The upgrades from the 50d are very impressive. The speed and the picture clarity are amazing. While the camera does not seem to be as heavy duty as the 50D, the ease of use is superb.

Easy to use Canon. I stepped up from the are el series to the 80D and am very pleased with it. Takes sharp crisp pictures with excellent choice of options. Would highly recommend!

Love the camera. Battery life is awesome and excellent quality camera. Tried to wait for possible D90 but the price was sweet for this one. I do not do videos so 4K not that essential.

I bought this to replace my old 20D. The contrast and clarity with the stock 18-135mm lens is great. Bought this for a family vacation - to take pictures and video. Worked great indoors and outdoors. This is the first time I've had an IS lens, and it works well taking pictures of stationary objects in low light. The only complaint I have is about the creative modes. If you change a default setting and then go back to Program or Auto (or some other mode) and then go back to the creative mode, the settings change back to the default. (e.g. when using the B/W mode the default setting is to use flash - cannot figure out how to set default to be no flash).

Very enjoyable camera. Manual is easy to understand and the touch screen is a big bonus. Fast picture capture at 7 frames per second when set in sports mode. Clear pictures and fun to use.

    Canon 80D with 18-135mm "Kit"

This is a magnificent kit that will really meet 90% of your photography needs. Add a good telephoto and you are done - and that isn't even mandatory. This 18-135 lens is superb. It is sharp at all focal lengths, the image stabilization is excellent, and it just feels good to use. This 24MP sensor is without a doubt Canon's finest APS-C sized version. Lower ISO noise, battery dynamic range, and JPG's are so much better than previous models. This is the same sensor that is used in the T6i, T6s, T7i, and 77d - so you can save a bit of $$ and buy one of those bodies, however, you will miss out on the amazing and versatile 18-135 lens.

I debated which camera to purchase this one or one of the Nikon's or the 4 a lesser Cannon. This is a little more expensive but I thought the fact that it focused pretty quickly and shot back-to-back pictures what I thought faster than the others was the selling point I love the 18 to 135 focuses quickly and sharp. The whole thing together though is pretty bulky and I'm sure we'll make for tiring hike sometimes. That's okay if I need to go light I can switch back to the point and shoot that I have but I always wanted one of these that will get the bigger cleaner pictures that I seem to lack when I really get back and find myself disappointed that I didn't have the better camera

This is an upgrade from my Canon T3i. I love the touch screen display, autofocus, 24 megapixels, built in wifi, and 18-135mm lens is better than the kit. Takes nice crisp photos.

My last camera was the Canon T3i which I was completely satisfied with. But this Canon 80D takes my photography to a whole new level. I am a beginner who has very little time to become comfortable with most of the features of this camera (as I was with the T3i also) but I am getting great pictures and videos with my limited knowledge. Love the camera and would recommend it to friends.
