I looked at reviews of every camera out there from this price range and below. I've never owned a dslr camera or anything fancy before. I run a freelance business and I needed professional quality photos for my social media page. I didn't want to buy anything cheap that I would regret so after weeks of watching YouTube videos and reviewing cameras I found this to be my best option. I also edit video so I wanted a camera that would take excellent video and I needed nice pictures so the 24 megapixels fit what I was looking for. Long story short, I'm blown away at the quality of this camera, I'm able to keep it in auto focus mode and everything turns out so amazing that I take a picture of, it's impossible to take a bad picture. I was more than pleased with the quality of this product. I looked at the microphone and originally thought the rode videomic go would sound cheesy since it has a frequency response up to 15khz if I remember correctly, but once I hooked up the microphone I never questioned it again, it picks up great audio, sounds professional on every level. The wifi is my favorite part too, get the app for your phone and you can put pictures straight on your phone no matter where you are. This camera is the best thing ever!

This camera has tons of functions with descriptive buttons and graphics to help understand. One down side to this camera has been how hard it is to connect the camera WiFi to your phone or other devices for quick sharing. I still haven’t gotten it figured out but it is partly because the app is outdated. I love this camera because of its touch screen, fold out screen, and easily accessible quality button control. There are special filters on the camera but some of them are totally ugly and ruin the photo. I enjoy the miniature effect filter! And with the 50 mm lens it takes PERFECT crisp portraits.

This camera has met and exceeded all of my expectations so far. I was a bit skeptical about the touch screen focus, but it’s actually a nice feature to have.
All around this camera has been great the few times I’ve gotten to use it so far. I have not had a chance to use it for the video capabilities yet but will be doing so soon. I have a friend that uses this camera primarily for the video and has great results with it.

I have been looking at purchasing a DSLR for almost a year. At this price point for me it was between the Sony A6300/6500 and the Canon 80d. To be honest both the cameras have an equal amount of pros and cons. For me the 80D felt more comfortable in my hands (even though it is a lot heavier). Also the articulating screen is awesome. The battery on the 80D lasts forever and there are a ton of affordable lenses out there as well. If you are adamant about having 4K you may want to go to Sony, but the colors and quality of the 1080 the 80D shoots is great. The 80D won’t let you down! I am glad I finally made the investment! And the video creator kit is great because not only do you save money buying the kit but you pick up the 18-135 lens which is a great all purpose lens, the powerzoom is a nifty tool and the rode mic is awesome!!

The good: The camera itself is deserving of the 5 stars. Snappy autofocus, 18-135 lens is a great every-situation lens (could be sharper and have a lower F-stop, but that would blow this kit's price) good ergonomics, and the touch screen is a joy. In fact, the touch screen makes this lens; being able to rapidly and intuitively change settings with minimal fuss is great.
The bad: At time of purchase, and at time of review, the website states "An additional battery pack ensures the Canon EOS 80D video creator kit has plenty of power". Cause of this language, I assumed this kit came with an additional battery pack, but it does not. This unit comes with only 1 battery, which is disappointing considering that a full day of filming requires several batteries.

I purchased this camera for a multitude of reasons. I opted for the video creator kit specifically for a new venture with my business and doing some vlogging, product review videos, and various other projects. I was upgrading my system from a much older Canon DSLR. This camera has very fast AF which was a must for me. On top of that, the image processing chip and image sensor itself is fantastic! This camera in combination with great lenses is able to provide some of the nicest images you will see from DSLRs on the market. It certainly is not a top-end camera but it provides images that can rival them. There are certainly a few things I do not like but not enough for me to knock off stars. The menu selection wheel is a bit cumbersome but with some getting used to, it simply is not that big of a deal to me. I can see what the Canon engineers were trying to do but you can essentially do the same things by simply using the touch screen which I prefer anyway. Overall this camera is a gem and at a great price point. You can spend a lot less but not get a body that is as sturdy or reliable. The power zoom accessory takes some getting used to though. It is basically included for free in this combo and it worth trying. It adds some smooth zooming for video which is great. Again, practice with it and spend some time perfecting it and I think you will like it.

This camera exceeds my expectations by far. I am just a beginner moving up from a point and shoot. I'm recently retired and wanted a camera that I could take photography lessons with and use on my travels. I found that this camera is very easy to use out of the box on automatic, but it takes even better pictures on the manual setting. The articulating LED screen on the back makes it easy to shoot from different angles. The LED screen is also a touch screen which makes it easier to change the settings quickly. This is just a fabulous camera and I think it is a great choice if you are looking to move up from a point and shoot.

I was debating between this Canon 80D or a Sony a6500 mirrorless camera and I am glad I went with the 80D. It has amazing features and the 18-135 mm lens is perfect for a beginner.
I did lots of research before making my purchase, the camera does not have 4K video which might be a disadvantage for some users, but that's not a big deal for me. The camera produces great quality images. It takes time to learn but it can be a perfect tool for anyone interested in learning photography. I went with this kit because you save some money if you plan on getting a mic later on.
I would recommend this camera for those who want to learn more than just the basics. Invest some more money and get this over the entry level cameras like the rebel series. Watch YouTube videos and pick up some cheap books off Amazon and you're set.

Having previously used film, it was an easy choice to select another Canon product. The camera features and controls allow you to take control on your shooting so that is it much more than an expensive point and shoot. WiFi lets your use the Canon Connect app to control your camera through your smart phone. If you add a separate Canon Speedlite those controls are on the back of the camera's touch screen display. A good value and Best Buy makes the purchase experience a home.

My only problem is that there is a LOT to learn about the camera, lens adapter and microphone. But it's fun learning. After using the 60D for years I love the touch screen on the 80D. It's a bit heaver than the 60D but still okay hand held with the new kit lens. I really like the new lens but haven't had a chance to use the auto zoom adapter yet.

Bought this camera ser to go along with my Canon 6D. Use it mostly to shoot videos with the mic, which works good, except in breezy to windy conditions, so recommend a diff cover for the mic. Camera takes good quality pictures with easy to use and learn quick settings. Works freat with EF and EF-S lenses, which is a big plus with having the 6D, which uses only EF lenses. And the batteries work for both cameras, which is a big money saver when planning on upgrading to full frame camera.
