Purchased as an upgrade from my Rebel T7. The Canon website couldn’t give me a specific delivery date, it just said 3-7 business days. Best Buy guaranteed delivery by Friday of the week I ordered, which was 4 business days. I had my camera by the date I was told, and I’m very happy with it!!

Purchased to have on hand for an upcoming event I was hired to photograph that had low light/night action requirements. Performed really well and focused smooth and fast. I upgraded from another Canon that is 10 years old so there has been a learning curve to it. Still haven’t covered all the settings but I’m enjoying it so far!

Maybe the last of the D-SLRs?

The Canon 90D is the latest iteration of Canon's x0D series of APS-C cameras. Sadly, it may also be the last as Canon announced that they are discontinuing D-SLR types of cameras in December 2019, going all out on mirror-less cameras. Still, there is a lot going for this camera, especially if you are an owner of previous Canon D-SLRs. * The resolution has jumped from 24 to 32 MP. * You can record 4K video uncropped * battery life has jumped to 1800 shots on a single charge * The dual-pixel auto-focus is still there. * Burst rate has increased to 10fps * You can record 1080P at up to 120 fps (but with no auto-focus) * Still retains the great articulating screen But all is not perfect. * Auto-focus is a bit inconsistent on action shots * 4K video is a tad soft * There is still only one SD card slot * No flat profile in video mode Canon still has superb colors, better than Sony and Nikon. The body is weather resistant and has some heft. Bigger than the Rebel line of cameras, it has a more comfortable feel. The menu interface is far better than Sony or Nikon. The optical viewfinder is very good, larger than the Rebel cameras but not as good as Canon's pro models. Due to the pandemic, the 90D can be hard to find due to supply shortages. Canon normally discounts the cameras after a couple of years but short supplies has delayed or eliminated that. What is more of a problem is the availability of spare batteries.,, It is nearly impossible to find, Mirror-less cameras in the same price range have a lot of shortcomings. The biggest is battery life, lasting only 250 shots. With the battery shortages, this severely cramps the number of shots you can take in a day. Also, their comparable lens have lower f-stops which limits your shots in the dark. If you are buying your first camera, you should lean to this type of camera as they are the future.

Upgrading from a canon t6 to the 90d is like driving a corolla one day and driving a bmw m5 the next.. total night and day, the performance and speed and quality is amazing. even when using the kit lens from the t6, the pic quality still improved drastically. images burst shots are so fast. man worth the upgrading. my next move is to get a faster wide angle lens. As a youtuber and content creator, i cant wait to get further off into this camera and getting my photography/video career off the ground.

So far I like this camera, it’s fairly easy to figure out and has a lot of unique features and settings. The photos I’ve taken with it are good quality. I really like the customize 1 and 2 features which allow me to quickly take photos depending on the situation without thinking or messing around with settings. Awesome crop sensor camera!

I love this camera! My main camera used to be a 24mp Canon T7i. While I loved the T7i and still use it as my backup, the 90D is far superior because of its 32 megapixels and its higher burst rate. I take photos of birds in flight, so the 10 frames per second burst rate gives me a greater chance of catching a critical shot, such as the precise instant when an eagle plucks a fish from the water. The 8 megapixel increase over my old camera gives me more of a photo to work with if I need to zoom in or crop. The quality of the photos is excellent, and the camera is nice and light, yet solidly built. A nice feature, which was unavailable on the T7i, is a lock-release button on the mode dial. You need to depress this in order to move the mode dial from, for instance, aperture priority to shutter priority. There will be no accidental changing of modes now. I’ve had many shots ruined in the past because the mode selection got changed somehow, such as when I hauled a camera out of a bag and didn’t take the time to check the settings, assuming that everything was just as I had left it. No more. I would recommend that the camera be paired with an appropriately fast-writing memory card, such as a card with a “V60” rating.

As someone who owns her own Photography business but is also on a tight budget, the Canon 90D is the greatest DSLR that you're going to find at this price point, and to be honest, outperforms several cameras more expensive than it. Controls are wonderfully intuitive, the incredible 33 MP sensor is a powerhouse and the photos that come from it really stand up under rigorous post-processing. It has enough support to help the beginner but a host of really incredible features for its advanced and professional users. The video capabilities are wonderful - the addition of focus peaking makes knowing you're locked on focus easy. The new processor is lightning fast. 120p video looks amazing. With the industry quickly moving in the direction of mirrorless, the 90D will likely be one of the last great DSLR's.
