It was a great deal but I did return it. Maybe it was just me but the lenses were not really smooth when trying to focus.

We purchased this camera to replace our old Nikon DSLR that died. We still wanted a good camera with great zoom to get pictures of our kids etc. very happy with the quality of the shots and the camera is much lighter and smaller than our old D80 was. Still learning all of the features but the pop out screen is great! Looking forward to taking lots of shots with it. Only negative so far would be the battery life is not the greatest with the screen on, but replacement batteries are pretty affordable.

Bought this for vacation. It Did an excellent job. It was between this and the SL3. I chose smaller size and it was worth it. Night pics are great. Took first pics of the moon and they are awesome. Action shots of waves crashing and birds flying were excellent. The battery does run down faster so I’m going to buy a second one. But I shot for three hours straight on a whale watch and got over a hundred fifty pics and still had battery. The zoom is great, but I’d rather have an 18-200 lens. Then I wouldn’t have to change it. But the combination is still great. Pictures were so clear and much better than the comparison with my iPhone. The size is great even for my larger hands. Controls are easy. Much the same as my daughters Nikon. You do have to play with the settings though to know what you are doing if you aren’t in auto exposure but that is the same for any camera. The tilt screen is great too so you can view that way or up close thru the lens. All in all very happy with it.

I am just starting to get into photography - so far this camera has done everything that I could have wanted and it takes great photos. I did take an online course that was specifically aimed at this camera which was very helpful. I was considering getting the Mark II version but between the price increase and only being mainly firmware updated I just decided to go with this model. I like that its light weight, the screen can be positioned in situations where you can't use the eye view finder and I also like that you can make changes to the camera settings on the screen. This camera is also highly customizable from a settings/display/function point.

GREAT FOR VIDEOGRAPHY

I bought this camera (my first camera, actually) for a video production class in college & it has been my best friend ever since. I had no prior experience with cameras but this one was extremely easy to use, navigating settings is not a hassle, & the overall quality of the videos is amazing. The two lenses included help out getting different kinds of shots. The only thing I need to point out is that neither of them are fast lenses, meaning shooting in the dark is almost impossible. BUT I love this camera bundle so much. I definitely recommend it, whether you’re a beginner or experienced.
ps
the size of the camera is super convenient, especially if you have small hands like I do

Upgraded from a T2i and I'm not looking back - M50

I wanted to update my T2i since it's pretty old. I didn't want anything too advance, too heavy, or too noticeable. Canon M50 checked all my boxes and then some. It was the perfect upgrade. It has 4k video, swivel screen, it takes great quality photos, comes with two basic but still phenomenal lenses, it's light weight, and it's gets the job done when it comes to video and photo shoots. So far, no problems. Although, I do find the view finder features annoying at times. Other than that...I have no problems. Hopefully, I won't run into any!

The Canon M50 is very easy to use and takes great pictures. It’s smaller than I thought it would be (compared to a DSLR) but that makes it great for traveling and carrying around all day. With both lenses it can cover a variety of shots near and far. I usually shoot manual or aperture mode but this camera does a great job on auto mode for both photos and videos. Its built really well and the touch screen makes it real easy to make adjustments quick.

I absolutely LOVE this camera. I'm a novice photographer but I'm hoping to learn more about the manual settings so I can capture even better photos. This camera is great for beginners and very easy to use and capture awesome photos with its automatic settings and allows for greater creativity with its manual settings. The camera is much lighter than the DSLR cameras and it captures MUCH clearer photos.

We just used this camera for the first time and were happily surprised at how easy it was to operate and how great the pictures turned out. There are a variety of picture and video options, which allowed us to do everything we wanted. The only drawback is the battery life is a little shorter than we would have hoped for. Luckily, we were aware of this issue and had a backup battery.

Easy to use, great value for the price I enjoyed having the two lenses. The pictures are focused and the videos are clear. The camera is light weight and the quality is excellent. I’m extremely happy with my purchase it works better than cannon g7 mark 2.

Great Camera for learning Pro photography

I am now using this camera on Manual settings, Something I could seem to never learn on my Nikon full body camera. I can shoot like a pro in all conditions with the preemptive screen on The EOS 50. I love both the EF-M 15-45mm and the EF-M 55-200mm 1:4.5-6.3 IS STM Zoom Lenses. This allows me to photo Portraits in all lighting conditions using the RAW file settings. Really is a SUPER learning tool for amateurs that want to shoot like the pros. Great body, easy to hold steady and controls are easy to reach from all positions. The tilt screen allows great photos without using the few, finder if you wear glasses like me, even in bright sunlight. I will be trying out the free editing software by Canon soon. Good choice of camera for traveling. Fits in a small case. (too large to fit in your pocket) I would give it 5 stars if the camera could locate subjects better in the dark. It is slow under these conditions, so you'll need to be patient in the dark. I will gladly take the beautiful Canon color rendition over any other camera.

I replaced a Canon 60D with this M50. Obviously, the size and weight are much different. The pictures I've taken have excellent color and are very sharp. I've haven't done any video at this time. Added the lens adaptor and have been able to use all my Canon lens. I thought I was going to have a difficult time holding the M50 but so far so good. I might add a "smallrig" but haven't done so at this time. Having a great time learning all the ins and outs of this camera. Glad I bought it!

I've been wanting this camera mainly for three reasons, I travel every year, and this is a more compact high end camera for me to pack and it takes up less space compared to my usual travel camera my CANON T7i, it does almost everything my other camera does but on a faster processor and shoots in 4k (but with a crop factor) which my other cannot. Which also brings me to my next reason, it's a popular vlogging camera and I see why!!! I eventually want to start filming some of my travels, and not just take pics and this will do! The third reason, is that it's very affordable, it's a great intro camera for the high ends if that makes sense

Love the size and weight of the camera. It has great features. I haven’t figured out to do manual focus, so I’m hoping that’s an option. Otherwise it’s super user friendly and set up just like other canon dslrs
