Customers find value in the EOS R Mirrorless 4K Video Camera's exceptional image quality, ease of use, and lightweight design. Many appreciate its impressive low-light performance and autofocus capabilities, although some users express disappointment with the single memory card slot and the touch bar functionality. The camera's price point is also frequently praised. While some find limitations in its 4K video capabilities, the overall feedback highlights its strengths in photography.

A great camera for photography. Best for the enthusiast. If you wish to go professional I wouldn’t recommend as it only has one sad card slot and not international image stabilization. Also not great for sports or fast moving subjects. Overall it’s a great camera.

It’s a big change from my 5D Mark II, I was looking forward to do a upgrade. When I saw this camera I had second thoughts of its capabilities, I was wrong it’s compact and full of features compatible with other none Canon brand lent.
One of the features that I enjoy is when looking through the view finder and using the manual focus it has a nice feature that tells you when you’re in focus, the rear touchscreen is a lifesaver one can use it to do what ever settings you want to change and fast, good battery life, the one hand controls are very simple to use, really like the Bluetooth feature.

Great Camera, stick with this or go big on the R5, I'd skip the R6, as this is a VERY capable and more affordable option.

Have had it about 2 weeks. It's a dream to shoot. I use it with a control ring adapter with my Canon lenses. Works great. I should have bought an adapter without control ring, not sure if I will ever use the control ring. I upgraded from a 6D. The auto focus system is simply quite amazing and such an upgrade from the 6d and works beautifully with my 24-70 and 70-200 F4 lenses. Takes a little bit of practice to learn the location of the dials and buttons. And that flip out screen! Awesome. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

I’m an advanced amateur and bought this to replace the 6D I’ve had for the last 6 years. Solved my issues with focus points / area and is much better in low light situations. Customizable function buttons for quick adjustments are awesome and face tracking function makes action shots easier. Cheaper native lenses would be great but no regrets. It fixed all my issues with the 6D. I love this camera!

I had the EOS RP which I purchased to take vacation photos and I loved the image quality so I decided I switch to the R because of the better weather sealing, the shutter closing when turned off, more FPS, and the video features. You really can’t go wrong with the RP or the R. My recommendation is to get the L series lens instead of the STM lens and you’ll really enjoy the quality that comes out of this camera.

First R body. Happy with it but, the controls are a bit clumsy from the EOS 5D Mark III I had previously. Love entering the mirrorless age.

I debated on going mirrorless for some time. The silent electronic shutter pushed me over the edge. Canon enabled motor drive with the electronic shutter with a recent firmware update and it works better than I expected. I’d used the “silent” motor mode on my 5d effectively to get bird shots and now it’s completely silent. I also discovered that while using the 2x converter with my 100-400L auto focus is working quite well.

I know this camera really has a bad Video Spec, but it is a better upgrade from my Canon 5D mark IV, why? Flipout Screen to see my self, same features on the 5d Mark IV, Better sensor, better picture quality, and it comes with Clog for free. This is the future of Photography and Video Mirrorless Camera. and its cheaper

I purchased this to double as an upgrade from my 6D, as well as get into mirrorless. It has been lightning fast for focus and eye tracking on photo and video, respectively. It is great for our family portraits as well as video and content creation. I highly recommend this, or the RP of you are looking to spend slightly less. Also, RF lenses are highly recommended to get the most out of this new mirrorless world.
