This camera is very excellent for a beginner like myself. It provides professional quality with picture and video from my experience with using this camera.

And the lens adapter makes it an easy transition from other Canon DSLRs so you don’t have to buy all new lenses. No loss of performance from what I can tell. Super comfortable and natural to hold. Love the touch screen and focus tracking! The 4K crop factor is less than ideal, but I will deal. Overall, an excellent camera and as a pro photographer/videographer I’m happy with my purchase!

I use this camera for stills and it works great! The update for eye tracking auto focus turned this camera into a beast! I love this camera and don’t regret getting it.

So this is it! I was waiting for this camera for the longest time. Now I've got to be honest, I have not used yet, but I have done some much research on this machine, and it totally fits my needs. If you are looking for a camera that will not make a hole on your pocket and leave you homeless knocking on your ex's door, this is the one. This camera is the beginning of the future of Canon with the new RF Lens mount and the already highly acclaimed RF lens lineup. The R was fairly easy to pick up after using a DSLR for so many years. After getting used to the new ring on the lenses, touch and drag focus, focus assist, and all the customizable buttons, your workflow will be much faster and fluid. Great dynamic range and insane low light focusing. Love the evf and being able to see exactly what your about to shoot. Highly recommend

Solid camera. Decided to hop into Canon's mirrorless world and sold my 6d mk II to purchase this. Overall I am very pleased with it and the use of EF lenses with the RF adapter has been flawless even with my Tamron 24-70 2.8 G2. Autofocus is amazing and less restrictive as the autofocus spread on the 6d mk II. Video has been a dream and being able to use C-Log has upped the level of color correction and grading I can do. The crop in 4k hasn't been an issue and, in fact, helped me gain that extra "reach" when my lens wasn't long enough. Excited to pair with my Atomos Ninja Inferno to unlock even more of the video quality. Only thing I miss from the 6d mk II are more of the pro button features like the scroll wheel, photo/video switch, and the top lcd buttons. This will serve as a suitable camera for the type of work I will be doing and will hope for a decent return when I upgrade in the future for the upcoming EOS R series cameras.

I still have a lot to learn but so far the camera is just great. The lens was heavier than I expected but, I will get used to that, I'm sure.

The autofocus system has been a huge upgrade from my Canon 6D. Image quality is amazing. Coming from a DSLR it definitely takes some getting used to

Honestly a monster of a camera, does everything it’s advertised to do, and does it all well. Almost feels like the combination of a new cell phone and a mirrorless camera. Really am impressed
