I decided to jump on the mirrorless band wagon, and I'm so glad I did. I'm coming from a 6D Mark II, and this is kind of the mirrorless equivalent. The electronic viewfinder takes a little getting used to, but I love that you can see the change in exposure as you would if you were looking at the back screen. The quality is excellent. You're getting a ton of camera for your money, and it has a lot of the same features that the R5 does. All in all, I would highly recommend this camera!

My wife and I are working towards building our photography business and wanted to upgrade. SO far this camera has blown our expectations out of the water and we couldn't be happier. I do both videography and Photographer and this camera 100% has and will improve the quality of the work we produce. went from a T3i to a 70D and now to the R6. Once we can afford it, we plan on buying another one.

Best Canon Camera I have owned yet. Traded in my Canon 1DX for the R6 and have not regretted it one day. The focus is incredibly fast and the eye tracking for sports is a game changer. I was able to keep all of my Canon glass and use the R6 with the Canon adapter. They all auto focus without a problem and the crop option in camera extends all of my lenses which is a huge bonus. If you're on the fence and you have an opportunity to get this camera- do it. you won't regret it!

This is by far the best purchase I could have ever made. The tracking on this camera is next level and the image quality will not let you down. If you're on the fence about selecting either this one or the Canon R5, you won't go wrong with this one. The only difference would be if you need the extra megapixels but this one should give anyone, even a professional photographer the image quality that they need.

    1DX II without the weight!

Traded in my 1DX II for this. Being essentially the same if not slightly better in terms of the AF and slightly slower for framerate, in the few months since I have had it, it has worked well. Can still shoot at high speeds, impeccable image quality, and the convenience of USB-C as well as SD in addition to WiFi and an articulating screen. The only caveats I found: - The batteries are not as robust/high voltage, according to Canon, meaning that if you intend on shooting high frame rates, check Canon's website. There is a list of lenses that *will not* work at the full high speed framerate due to power requirements. I had to trade in my old 24-70 f/2.8 L I IS for the RF version. - It will not charge over USB-C while ON, only while OFF. I believe the R5 can charge over USB-C while ON.

Initially I couldn’t choose between the r6 or the r6 Mark II that came out. Choosing this model did not disappoint and works just as great if you need to save the $$. I’d say it’s a great start for someone looking to start a business in photography.

The focus on this is a game-changer. It was why I wanted to purchase this camera in the first place. The autofocus on the 5D Mark III was so unreliable I'd take 100's of pictures just to make sure I got a few in focus pictures. I feel so much more confident with this camera that I've nailed focus that I take fewer photos and move the session along so much faster now. I do not regret this purchase.

I am a sports photographer and bought this to replace one of my oldest cameras a 7D MkI. I wanted to make the switch to mirrorless and decided on the R6 for the 12fps. I only use EF glass for now. If you are looking into this camera, and need the 12fps to make sure you check the supported EFS lens on Canon's site. None of my lenses are supported for this feature and I did not find that out until after I bought the camera. Compared to the 7DMk2 the build quality and a focus system (outside of eye AF) are not as good. The camera does not feel like a pro camera which is unfortunate for a camera in this price range. The regular modes for focusing are not nearly as good as the 7D mk2 and maybe not as good as the 7D Mk1 so that is disappointing. I have reached out to Canon on this and they really do not have a great answer. So, if you buy this camera and shoot fast-moving subjects use the AI focus modes. Battery life is low and you need to stay above a certain level to keep 12fps so think about getting a battery grip. I am also losing connection to the lens I just purchased which I have never experienced with my DSLRs. I ended up exchanging this one for the same model hoping that I got a bad one. Now for the good. The low light performance for noise is really good with this camera. The EVF is really good and I am actually starting to prefer it over the optical VF on my DSLR's. The eye AF is absolutely incredible when you can use it. The camera is smaller and lighter than my DSLRs. It is a FF mirrorless camera. Even though this camera has some issues, I am still glad I bought it so I can start to transition to mirrorless as Canon will no longer be making any new DSLR models in the future. Canon is still making FW updates so hopefully, some of the issues above can be solved in software. However, I think Canon has a way to go to make this camera as rock-solid as the single digit DSLR's like the 7D series or the 5D series.

It took me forever to finally make the jump, and the only thing I’m disappointed about is not doing it sooner. It has absolutely transformed how I shoot, and saves a bunch of time during my sessions. Make sure you take the time to get to know the new features and settings - you might as well stick to a DSLR if you don’t learn how to take advantage of what mirrorless has to offer.

Best upgrade I've made in a long time. I upgraded from a Canon Mark III and this camera is SO much more amazing in person. I personally thought my Canon Mark III was amazing until I bought the Canon R6. I still love the Mark III, but this camera is so much faster, quicker, sharper, and smarter (high tech) and I LOVE it. It's worth the price and you'll see it in your photos.

I have had this camera for 2 months now and LOVE it! I previously shot with a Canon RP and the R6 is a great step up. The auto focus seems to be much quicker than the RP and the quality of the photos is great. The camera feels good in hand. It is slightly larger than the R/RP however the increase in size makes the R6 feel more substantial and less awkward with larger lenses.

Love the R6!! Everyone is complaining about the 20MP sensor. All of my bodies (5DMIII, 7DMII) all have been 20MP. The reason to buy this mirrorless body is everything else. IBIS, dual card slots, Full Frame sensor, no micro adjustments on EF lenses, and AUTO FOUCUS! The autofocus is simply AMAZING. You will forget that its "just 20MP". Autofocus alone is the main reason to get this body.

Bought this camera a few weeks ago and love it so much already. I upgraded from an entry level 2011 Nikon d5100 so this was a huge step up for me! The body is very sturdy and all of the buttons and functions have been super fun to explore. The touch screen is awesome as well. The camera shoots flawlessly, super quiet and fast! Can't wait to take this on trips this summer!
