I LOVE this camera! I upgraded from a canon rebel t6 so no wonder I love it so much. What a difference it makes!! I do not care for the lens that it comes with very much though... I purchased the canon rf 35mm f/1.8 and I LOVE it! The pictures attached were with the 35mm lens I purchased additionally. Highly recommend.

Rebel T6 to R6 BEST CHOICE EVER

This camera is AMAZING, if you’re in the fence about buying it I hate to say it but DO IT. I thought about buying this camera for about 1 year before actually doing it. And it’s a HUGE upgrade. I initially really wanted the 5DMiii but I saw so many reviews saying that they were upgrading from the 5DMiii to this one. I used to only have my lil ol rebel t6 and boy can I see a difference. I’ll attach some images. Only thing is that batteries for cameras like this are very scarce and pretty pricey so if you’re not ready to buy pricier accessories for your big girl camera maybe this isn’t the one for you. It’s an all around upgrade due to the fact that the lenses are now RF mounts but you can buy the $100 adapter and have all your EF lenses work like a charm! Add me on ig @clicksbycaitlin to see more of my work with this beast of a camera!

I upgraded from the canon rebel t7i and I love how sharp this camera is. I paired it with the rf 28-70 f2 lens and the images blow me away.

Excellent mirrorless camera. Sharp focus with eye tracking feature. 20 mp more than adequate. RF lenses are expensive but at $60 adapter allows it to work with EF lenses.

I took my time getting a mirrorless camera but I decided to pull the trigger on this one. I started with a 40D, 70D 7D and this is by far the best camera I ever owned. The 7D has been my workhorse and does a great job. I shoot lots of wildlife and the tracking on the R6 is just amazing. Using the old lenses works great but finding the adapter took some searching.

My switch to mirrorless was scary but dude I will never go back! Such easy settings and crisp clean images. The viewfinder being digital is absolutely insane and I love that! Light weight with the kit lens but still not to bad when you use others.

Buying this camera was a game changer. I love it! It was a big decision to make given the price, but it is worth it. Going to a mirrorless camera was an adjustment, but I like it a lot better. It’s a great camera to use! Best Buy made the purchase of this camera smooth.

I recently purchased the Canon R6, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The image quality is outstanding, with its 20.1 MP full-frame sensor capturing stunning detail and vibrant colors. The autofocus system is incredibly fast and accurate, even in low light, making it perfect for both photography and videography. The in-body image stabilization works wonders, allowing for sharp shots even with slower shutter speeds. The camera’s ergonomics are excellent, and the electronic viewfinder is bright and clear. Overall, the Canon R6 is a fantastic investment for any serious photographer or videographer. Highly recommended!

My pictures have gone from good to great with the upgrade to this camera. The reviews on YT really nail the pros and cons apot on. The images are very sharp because of the great AF system. The only thing that i prepared for and proved to be true is tou get less battery life electronic viewfinder.

Huge upgrade from the Canon 70D!

    Posted .

After 6 years of heavy use from my Canon 70D, I decided it was time for an upgrade and wow is the R6 a huge step up from the 70D. While the megapixel count between the two cameras are the same, the image quality is by far much better with the R6, where my images are much sharper using the exact same lenses (thank you in body image stabilization and EF to RF adapter) and look better with more dynamic range in the shots. Additionally, the eye-autofocus is just as amazing as people say it is, with the vast majority of my images perfectly focused on my subject's eye, including animals! Add in other features like a great electronic view finder, robust camera fine-tuning options, dual card slots, 12-20 frame per second shooting, silent shooting, a completely rotating screen, and a long lasting battery (just be sure to have eco mode turned on) and the R6 is just a superb camera. There are time limits when filming in 4k due to heat build up so if that's your thing this might not be the camera for you but if you are just doing short b-roll style filming, or prefer to shoot in 1080p, then you might be able to use this just fine as a video camera. Anyway, if you are like me and have a worn out DSLR and are looking for a big step up the R6 is an excellent choice.

Canon EOS R6 vs 5D Mark IV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is an "upgrade" from a 5D Mark IV if video is your priority. 5D Mark IV was released in 2016 EOS R6 released in 2020 The EOS R6 loses the additional top LCD display, but gets a flippable screen and does 10bit 4K at 60 with H264 codec vs MJPEG (5D Mark IV only does 4K at 30) 5D Mark IV has 30.4MP R6 has 20.1 MP Higher mega pixels isn't everything.

I like the image stabilization in the body and lens for low light hand held shots. That helps not needing expensive fast lens to get the shot without a flash

I love everything about this camera. The feel, the ease of use, the menu, the clear natural color photos. Very intuitive. Amazing in low light as well. The kit lens is great. The battery life is wonderful and it charges quickly. Easy to transfer photos to my phone. Two USB card slots. Great video with image stabilization. Just over the moon with this camera. Looking forward to all the compatible lenses coming out this year but I really get a lot out of the kit lens at the moment. Just thrilled. I highly recommend.

I had finally mastered my first ever camera (Olympus OMD EM-10 MKIII) and was starting to excel in client work for my photography. I needed a camera that was going to take EVERYTHING I had to throw at it, with nothing to get in the way of my creative work. Well, it's Canon, and they've always been exceptional in performance, ergonomics, and usability. The overheating issue is non existent in real world use these last couple months (especially with the firmware updates). When you buy into Canon, you know you're going to get great glass, great performance, and a very ergonomic experience. The only drawback (which is hardly one for most I assume, this problem exists only for me because I am used to my Micro 4/3rds mirrorless) is the weight. But, given that it definitely is smaller than any dSLR out there with full frame, you will be perfectly fine. It has EXCEPTIONAL performance at high ISO's due to that full frame sensor. I guess the only other drawback would be the lack of quantity of RF lenses relative to the older EF mount. However, a simple adapter purchase for $100 and all your old EF lenses are good to go! If you're looking for a high end mid tier upgrade or want to get into the mirrorless market, now is the PERFECT time to do so. They've really got it down with this one, and you save money and sacrifice very little with getting this over the R5. I put the money I saved towards gear like a Speedlite and some lenses.

The Canon R6 is an excellent camera that delivers high-quality images and videos. Its autofocus system is fast and accurate, and it has a solid build quality that makes it durable. The camera's in-body image stabilization is a huge plus, and it works great with Canon's RF lenses. Overall, I highly recommend the Canon R6 to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile camera.
