I’ve been using the Canon EOS R7 mainly for sports photography, and honestly, it’s been a great experience. The autofocus is super fast and really accurate — it easily keeps up with fast-moving action, which is exactly what I need. The image quality is excellent. The photos come out sharp, detailed, and with great color. One thing I really appreciate is the in-body image stabilization — it helps a lot, especially when shooting handheld or with longer lenses. What really stands out to me is the clarity and sharpness. Even when I crop in on the image, it still looks clean and detailed. Plus, with the crop sensor, I get really good reach when using zoom lenses, which is perfect for shooting from a distance. Overall, I think the R7 is a fantastic camera for sports. It’s reliable, fast, and gives me high-quality results every time I use it.

Coming from an older DSLR, this is a dream. The autofocus provides shots I would have never achieved with my old rig. The R7 is very light, and paired with the new lightweight R7 lenses, this setup is great. I am a wildlife enthusiast, and love to hike and take pictures of wildlife. This setup is perfect if you are a hiker. The button layout is different, but absolutely makes sense. For smaller birds, eye focus can struggle, but is still a huge difference from a DSLR. For raptors, herons, and mammals, this camera locks on! Love this camera!

Used it for a wedding last night and I’m loving Canons tracking. I’ve been out of the photography field for like 6 years and now back working. Intend to buy another one for my second wedding camera. Only negative is that my R2 Trigger isn’t communicating with it. Trying to figure it out.

Oh sweet Jesus, this camera is amazingly great. I will take so many great photos with this amazing, amazing photo machine let the speed and might of great power withhold images that create memories that will only last with the power of speed of this canon device.

This has been a great camera to use. The button layout is good and it’s customizable. The image quality is excellent. My last camera was a Canon 90D and the R7 feels like an improvement in that regard. The autofocus is very good and has allowed me to track subjects better than I could on the 90D. The R7 feels well built. Some online reviews has have said that the digital view finder’s could be a higher resolution, but I have not found any issues with it. I am able to track birds and other fast moving subjects fairly well with it.

I love the camera! Lasts about a year after really putting it through the ringer. As a sports and candid photographer working every day in season taking near 1000 photos a day its great.

This is an excellent camera. I use this camera for wildlife and aviation photography. Paired with the RF 100-400mm this camera really shines and is lightweight!

Just upgraded from a Canon 90D camera 90D camera body to this R7. VERY happy with the purchase. The electric viewfinder is a huge upgrade. Major upgrade for auto focus as well. I also like the fact that there are dual SIM card slots. Overall an excellent upgrade.

Bought this for use as a C-camera for video. Image is great while in 24p/30p. Would not suggest this for 60p use as the image is soft.

I absolutely love how you can completely reconfigure the button assignments on this camera! Additionally, coming from a T3i the speed at which this camera focuses is mind blowing! It was also very easy for me to use all my current EF lenses on this camera with the EF to RF adapter (with no stop loss due to the sensor being located closer to mount). The higher resolution is fantastic and allows me to still maintain a high resolution image even after cropping.

Camera made me fall in love with my DSLR again. It’s smaller, lighter, fast, image stabilized, and takes phenomenal pictures. Just took it to Alaska and i was able to shoot the camera with the 100-400 L lens attached one-handed. It took crisp shots of the bear walking close by while i held my fly rod with the other hand. Love this camera.

Loving it so. But I haven't had it that long and this is my first professional camera (so I don't have much to judge it against). But it's relatively easy to learn to use.
