I bought this camera for my son, who is a photography student. Great features, easy to use, and amazingly clear, sharp pictures with the full frame sensor.

I kind of expected better low-light capabilities out of this sensor. Other than the graininess above ISO 8000, it's a pretty good well rounded mid-grade consumer body.

I used this camera to photograph my daughter's wedding recently. After 10+ years of being out of the wedding photography business, it's great to see this level of performance in a sub $2000 camera. I know that a lot of people gripe about it missing ibis and 2x memory cards. As long as you know what you're buying, it delivers a lot for the price.

Only dislike is the battery life isn’t very long but there are options if you do research, but that wouldnt keep me from buying it. Quality is amazing very capable camera. For the price i would choose it over any other camera in this price range.

Great camera getting to add to my eos R. I have a 35mm lens that looks so crispy and pro makes the subject look like a star. The auto focus and general operation is smooth and worry free which is crucial when shooting. I think this is good for professional use or new videographers because the eas of use is handy.

This is a great camera it is basically a scaled down version of the r6 mark ii. It has the same sensor and auto focus of the more expensive camera it’s just missing some of the pro features such and dual memory and larger body and battery. I believe for how much cheaper the r8 it is it’s a great value. It’s a lot of camera for the dollar and I would recommend for anyone who wants top notch photo and video without having to spend 2 plus grand overall highly recommend.

Great camera that is much cheaper versus the R6 MKII, It has everything but two main elements. IBIS and bigger battery life. I went with this body to save some money and invest into good IS lens. Carry extra batteries you will need it! The CANON EOS RP shares the same body do you can put the grip on there to get extra grip! Perfect Body for me!

Upgraded from a canon rebel t3. Absolutely love this camera! The quality is so much better! I paired it with a 35 mm 2.8 lens and love the results I’m getting! Was debating this vs the 6d mark 2 I think it was and seemed like most said they were comparable and I was looking to upgrade to a nicer more professional camera. I take mostly indoor portrait mini sessions

I previously owned the EOS M50mkii, but saw the launch of the R8 and was intrigued. After some reviews started filtering out, I decided to buy it. I also added the 24mm and 50mm STM lenses, to introduce myself to the RF universe. I now realize how expensive this universe is :’) The image quality is superb and that also speaks on the video quality as well! With 4k 60p at 10-bit color, without a crop, this camera is a bargain! I’ve owned it for about a month and have faced zero issues!
