I used this camera to photograph my daughter's wedding recently. After 10+ years of being out of the wedding photography business, it's great to see this level of performance in a sub $2000 camera. I know that a lot of people gripe about it missing ibis and 2x memory cards. As long as you know what you're buying, it delivers a lot for the price.

Great camera getting to add to my eos R. I have a 35mm lens that looks so crispy and pro makes the subject look like a star. The auto focus and general operation is smooth and worry free which is crucial when shooting. I think this is good for professional use or new videographers because the eas of use is handy.

I previously owned the EOS M50mkii, but saw the launch of the R8 and was intrigued. After some reviews started filtering out, I decided to buy it. I also added the 24mm and 50mm STM lenses, to introduce myself to the RF universe. I now realize how expensive this universe is :’) The image quality is superb and that also speaks on the video quality as well! With 4k 60p at 10-bit color, without a crop, this camera is a bargain! I’ve owned it for about a month and have faced zero issues!

Upgraded from a canon rebel t3. Absolutely love this camera! The quality is so much better! I paired it with a 35 mm 2.8 lens and love the results I’m getting! Was debating this vs the 6d mark 2 I think it was and seemed like most said they were comparable and I was looking to upgrade to a nicer more professional camera. I take mostly indoor portrait mini sessions

I kind of expected better low-light capabilities out of this sensor. Other than the graininess above ISO 8000, it's a pretty good well rounded mid-grade consumer body.

I bought this as an both a backup and on the go camera to avoid both taking my more expensive R6 into certain situations. and when I'm taking quick trips.
Pros: It's has the most of the what makes the R6 Mark 2 great except IBS.
Cons: The battery aren't that good but you can improve it by turning on Airplane Mode when not transferring photos, You can also keep the battery charged if to contact it to a power bank via USB-C
Other than those it's a great on the go camera, make sure to buy at least 2 extra batteries for this one

I used this body with my DSLR lenses from my old Canon camera (with the adapter) and it worked well. The camera takes crisp shots - especially good for portait photography. The resolution really makes the camera shine - when I look at my landscape shots, I can see the detail in trees etc even from far away. Feathers, eyes, etc. from close-ups also render quite well.
