I was looking to buy the T3i or the T5i (EOS 600D or the EOS 700D) but when I saw this in the store and the best buy employee recommended it I chose to go with this model instead. It was the same price as T3i and it's a newer model. I am happy with my purchase.

I bought this camera to take pics of my son in all his endeavors. I didn't want to buy a camera that wouldn't satisfy my needs so I did my research. I was torn between this camera and the T5i but based on the reviews on both cameras I was leaning toward the sl1. What won me over was the smaller size and the easy to use touch screen. I've taken several shots with this camera and am very satisfied with the results.

I love my new canon rebel sl1. It takes great photos, easy to use, and not to mention has a touch screen. I recommend this camera for beginners.

This is a great icamera for a beginner such as myslef. I like that it is touch screen. I like that it also allows me to switch between manual and automatic.

Camera takes great action shots. Easy to use right out of the box. Good battery life.

photo quality is excellent and size and weight are appropriate . Flash is premature before the actual picture is taken leading the subject to believe the photo is over when the photo has not been snapped.

Overall this is a very nice product. The biggest thing for it is very light-weighted. I am a girl and I have no problem to carry it around for a whole day.

I got this camera for my birthday for my trip to Spain and had about three weeks to learn to use it. It has been a lot of fun to use and fairly intuitive.

We are still learning about it's many features and so far it does everything we hoped for it to be able to do. (we have only been using it for a week now)

I find the touch screen makes it very easy to change settings and make informed selections! Taking great action shots and very detailed close ups.

We have stayed within the Canon family of cameras and this one has not disappointed. We LOVE it! Great upgrade from our sx230hs. This camera is very light and very small. We look forward to years of use. Great for beginners to novice users. Enjoy!

Great camera easy to use. Still have some learning to do. It's a little heavy towards the front with the lens tips over but it's a great camera.

I have wanted a DSLR camera for some time. I was going back and forth between the T3i and the SLR1. I love how quiet the camera lenses are when in auto focus mode, but I especially love being able to switch to a manual focus mode. The light options and multiple shot options are fun for kids on the go or taking pictures of pets and animals. I was able to get several pictures of the family dog and in one shot she looked happy and the next she shifted her eyebrows and looked angry. With a normal digital camera I never would have seen the difference. Absolutely love this camera.
