We purchased this camera primarily because of its compact size and to use for landscape photography in Europe. It was very easy to use on the default settings and we liked the additional telephoto lens we purchased along with the camera.

I love it, and my husband love it too, takes great pictures.

I have had this camera for a couple of weeks and feel comfortable with the features. It is not a replacement for our Nikon but it is easier to carry and hold even with 2 lens in the camera bag. The photos are not as sharp as the Nikon but they are good. I am taking this on a trip and I know everyone will see the details of the landscape and architecture with the pictures I take. Be sure to buy a second battery and memory card.

The image quality is excellent and almost all the features of the higher end DSLRs are available, though sometimes not as conveniently as on the bigger and heavier bodies.

I bought this camera to shoot my 1 and 4 year olds. It's perfect for our family. Easy to use on auto setting, and other settings let you capture beautiful shots as well. I still haven't used all the features, but I love it so far.

Absolutely LOVE this camera!!! I used to take pictures on my phone, but this makes it so much easier. The quality of the camera is great and it's so easy to use. Very lightweight so it's good to carry around with you all day. Perfect for those beginner photographers.

My husband bought this camera for me Christmas, it also came with a great deal on an additional zoom lens. Really like this camera, although I am a novice, I am able to go to the free how to videos on the best buy site, or youtube. I love the touchscreen and have taken some really great photos with the automatic feature. Love it.

For Christmas my daughter received a Canon T5. I have always been a Nixon user. Decided to pick the SL1 after much research. The main reason I didn't get the same model as my daughter was the lack of bulb function. I am really impressed with the quality photos I get. Paired with the 50mm prime lens I am getting beautiful results.

great camera and lens .. I would recommend this camera

This is a very light, agile camera for active photo taking. It has been great for my wife, who received it as a present, and she continues to explore and enjoy the numerous features. The grip still feels normal somehow though it is actually smaller, and it is less fatiguing to shoot a lot of pictures with it. It has a rapid burst feature that is faster than my previous slr. On the downside, we have to go buy new lenses from changing brands from our orphaned mount type. This was the reason we went canon.
