I purchased this camera to get better action shots of my children's fast paced sports. It has been great!! I have been able to catch some really great gymnastics shots that even compare to the professional photographer's packages at meets! I have also been able to get great shots of basketball & soccer.

This camera is great for beginners! Super easy to use and the picture quality is great! Also, Best Buy offers free photography classes!

Had the older digital canon and it was a good camera but the EOS rebel is great, a lot of features and still learning more each time I use it. I would recommend this to beginner plus

This is my first camera that is not a point and shoot. I am a small woman with tiny hands and love the size of this camera! It seems to take wonderful pictures when I get the manual settings correct but I tend to fall back on the "auto" setting way more than I anticipated. I have had the camera for several months and hope that, with more time, I will figure out how to use it to its full capacity. I also purchased the 55-250mm zoom lens after reading reviews that recommended it and have put the lens to good use at my children's sporting events.

I purchased this camera and flew to Alaska for a week long holiday the next day. Photos turned out awesome and it's easy to use. Great value and a great camera !

This is a great SLR, not too complicated for beginners. It has lots of nice features and extra lenses can be purchased if needed. The pictures look great and the camera is user friendly. I feel like it was a good choice for what we were looking for.

I bought this camera in hopes of doing pro photography. I'm still learning all the features, but I love this camera! Lightweight, easy to maneuver, and excellent features which makes the value even better. Takes great shots. I'm still learning lighting techniques but landscape shots are awesome! Very little camera shake depending where and what you're shooting. Great starter camera!

amazing camera for anyone whos looking to do everyday photography. takes clear pictures, standard lens has great capabilities and the camera itself is very simply to use. its small than the rest of the canon DSLR family, but it worked well for me because i have tiny hands. the white makes the camera look gorgeous. i definitely recommend.

This camera was a perfect choice for upgrading from my Canon Elph point and shoot! So easy to use and beautiful pictures! I have been wanting a DSLR for some time. Glad I finally did it! The Canon Rebel SL1 is the smallest and most lightweight camera I could find. Canon prices are lower than Nikon. I couldn't justify the Nikon prices for adding lenses, accessories later. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone!

Took this camera in a family vacation and came back with amazing pictures! The camera is easy to use, light weight, and many picture settings to enhance quality. The only thing I have to look into is to see if there is an accessory that one can purchase to attach to the lens cover. Didn't enjoy having to keep track of where I was putting it down. Love the camera!!

I believe that Canon has created a really good quality Entry-level DSLR since the T3i came out. The SL1 is smaller and easier to use then the T3i.

I love this camera. It takes absolutely beautiful pictures & is really easy to use. I haven't left auto mode much yet but I plan on learning how to use it manually & have a lot f fun project planned for it. I love the touch screen.

This is a great basic dslr. I have just used it to shoot a graduation for a family member, and we were impressed. I find that, as with other Canons I have used, the camera tailors to the skill set of the user. What I mean is that it is simple enough to take decent photos with, but the advanced features are there for someone more knowledgeable. Navigation through the various features is simple and intuitive.

I've always used the smaller point and shoot cameras and decided it was time to step up to the DSLR! I read review after review and this is the ultimate camera! I love EVERYTHING about it :) You won't be disappointed. Still lots to learn, but I'm enjoying every step of the way!
