I bought the SL3 to replaced my Canon T5i. Looking for a better wifi/bluetooth enable DSLR. Comparing between a T7i and SL3. In the end I decided on an SL3. This is way lighter and getting used to the features. They took away the sports mode, close up, landscape in the dial. You have to go to the SCN mode to get this features. I love the SL3 and if you download the canon app you can used your phone as a remote and you can see your subject before taking the shot. Money well spent.

I purchased this SL3 for $550 and also a 17-55 F2.8 lens for $550. I will have to say this setup is by far the best bang for the buck at $1100. The photos are stellar quality for this price point! Great 4k timelapse features, inbody video digital stabilization, extremely small for a dslr yet fits comfortably in my hand, newest digic8 chip, double the battery life compared to the M50 and great low light performance. Now the only bad issue is that the SL3 only has 9 auto focus points in the view finder which really is not a big dealbreaker in my opinion. All the auto focus points and eye tracking features work great on the touch screen just like the M50. The M50 and the SL3 share almost the same specs accept the view finder and obviously it is not a mirrorless camera. I personally like the feel of the traditional DSLR and an optical view finder. Yes yes this camera performs stellar at this price point! If you can afford it buy the body only and separately buy the Canon 17-55 F2.8-IS Lens over the kit lens. A good lens really makes the difference.

I had been using Canon T3i for almost 5 years. I decided to upgrade it by choosing SL3. I'm glad I did. It's lightweight and works like a charm! I'm not a professional photographer/videographer. I like taking pictures and videos as a hobby. This camera meets my expectations. The video autofocus is great. It is fast and smooth. I still could use my old lenses but I decided to sell them and get STM lenses. Whenever I point to the object the camera captures it fastly. No struggle at all! Due to this camera is smaller and lighter my hand doesn't get tired of carrying it. I can shoot for a longer period. If you are an amateur photographer or videographer, I recommend getting this camera!

I brought this for my wife and she loves it. This is her first DSLR camera so it took her a few days to get use to the features. We love the picture quality, lightweight so it's easy to carry, also 4k video is nice. If this is your first DSLR camera know that it's camera only. You must buy a lens.

Great camera to learn on. Has lots of good features and helpful virtual assistant . You ask the " Pros " they say the 4K is gimmick , missing some features. Maybe so, but for the price point, great starter camera if you dont have one. Photos are razor SHARP!

Purchased to replace a Rebel 6 body that malfunctioned for the second time, and I am pleased with its performance so far. The body is lightweight, and the screen folds in. Settings take some getting used to, but not difficult.
