Purchased this camera one month ago and am extremely satisfied with it's performance and ease of use. This is my first DSLR and the ease of use is very satisfactory. Have not used the video capabilities so I am unable to speak to the performance in that area.

I love this camera -- all the functions of an old manual camera with the ease and upgrades of new digital. Comes with four different editing software apps that do a remarkable job -- can turn ordinary photos into something really, really nice!!

I was tired of the long focus time for my small digital camera. Was missing gymnastics and horse show moments. My Eos focuses quickly (if using the view finder not the screen) and takes pics quickly in repetition. I haven't had a camera with the various settings for portrait, up close, landscape, action...they are easy to move on the dial and the photos look professional. This is a great camera to have professional looking pics, but for a beginner like me.

I've been using this for a few years now and it's served me very well. Mostly I just use auto mode and the pics turn out great with the lens I got. Recommend it!

    My first DSLR

This was an early Christmas present from my boyfriend, and one of the best presents I have ever received. I have been in the market for my first DSLR since February and had my heart set on the Nikon D3100, so I was a bit bummed when I received this instead. However, I quickly realized how amazing this camera truly is! It has been so easy to use and learn, even for a camera novice like myself. I have been trying to use it on manual rather than auto to really learn the camera better, and I have not grown frustrated once. The quality of pictures taken with the 18-55mm lens is spectacular, especially for the price! The only thing that lacks a bit compared to other cameras is the flash... it can be a it weak. So far, this camera has proved to me that Canon definitely makes a great camera for beginners.

I wanted the Nikon D3100. But it was 100 bucks more, and I happened to stumble upon this camera. I'd hate to say it, but I did kind of buy this with out thinking things threw. But I do NOT regret buying this DSLR AT ALL. It can take continous shots, it says up to 3...but it takes as many as you want as long as you hold the capturing button down. <---Only on SOME settings though It comes with a battery charger, neck strap, like 5 booklets, lens, lens cap, battery, etc. ---------->Those pictures that are uploaded, are not as clear when on a regular photo viewer. Best Buys 'photo viewer' can't handle the quality. The picture is actually MUCH sharper and way more focused than that. I think it is a very good camera for photography. That's the reason why I bought it. This was the cheapest DSLR I did find that has great camera and video performance! SUPER LONG BATTERY LIFE. I havent charged it since I got it, Dec 27. Ive been using it ALL the time. The camera is very easy to figure out. All you have to do is turn it on, put it on a setting you want, and capture something! SO EASY. I have a rambunctious dog that runs around everywhere, and it captures her in action. The only other things this camera needs to come with is : A CASE. and a lens that can zoom farther. The lens is really good too, Im impressed with it. Other than that, Im so pleased with this DSLR. Downsides: Flash is kind of loud, but not to loud. When the camera manually auto focuses, its not silent, but not loud, right in the middle.

I bought this camera with my money. Im a amateur photographer. i like to mess around with camera, you know? I decided to upgrade from a point and shoot, to a DSLR. I love this camera! I took a picture in like REALLY low light. I took a picture with NO flash at all, it looked like I had a light on! Blurrs out background pretty dang good also. The camera is a little confusing, but its overall easy to use. Im so impressed. So much detail, it blew me away! The box comes with battery and neck strap and all that good stuff. I mean seriosuly, for 430 bucks, this is a good camera. Im so impressed. And I knew, kind of nothing about DSLRs. ITS A GOOD CAMERA.

I bought this about 3 months ago and I use it when I go to airshows and it takes amazing pictures of the jets and planes flying in the air as well as the ones on the ground for people to look at. It is fairly easy to learn how to use after a while and it takes great pictures and videos! I recommend this to anyone that is just getting their first DSLR as it was my first!

I love this camera! I got it for my birthday and I take it everywhere. Now that i have it, I barely ever use my point-and-shoot. The quality is great and for the price, the lens included is good too. Even if you don't know anything about cameras, this camera is great! I know of people who just use it in full auto mode and their pictures turn out fine. The only problem I have with it is focusing. If the room I am in is not extremely well-lit, it will not focus, and I end up using manual focus. Also, It might be worth the price of the T2i just to have the video camera, because I find myself wanting to video things in high quality, but i cant with this camera. *we had a lot of fun on the 4th of july taking pictures with sparklers, and this camera is perfect for it.

I've always loved snapping shots with my digital camera and I've recently been interested in diving into the world of DSLR. I've done a lot of research before my purchase, and I would have to say that I am incredibly satisfied. After tinkering with it for a a couple of hours i managed to find my way around and understand the settings. The images that I can now capture is incredible with this camera. I'm set on complete manual with this camera and shoot RAW, so I really don't bother with JPEG or Auto features. The video feature is decent but it does not sell the camera. If you're just jumping into photography this is a great start for anyone.

I bought this camera yesterday and Im already enjoying. It takes great pictures, very clear. Its does wort the price. And I'm very happy it was on Sale $488 but they had the cambo Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens and 75-300mm Zoom Lens only for $599.98 so its a GREAT deal. This is my very first Canon (ISO) camera and I'm very glad. Cant wait to go on my trip to San Francisco :D If you want to get Canon this is a great place to start with, buy it till the price goes up.

My first Dslr but it won't be the last.It replaced my Canon SX20 IS which is a really good but when you become addicted you want more.My first concern was that I wasn't going to get the same range even with a 300mm telephoto lens. The range is almost exactly the same as my "20X zoom" which made medo some research.I found out that a cameras really depends on the size of the image sensor.I've only been using it for a couple of days and I've taken 400 + pictures. The 3fps is fast enough for me for what action I shoot. The battery life is good but I've never really had a problem with that with any canon I've owned. As far as image quality you can be the judge of the photos attached to the review. I know some people like more in the printed manuel but i think the disk is better. You don't want another bulky manual taking up space.

Do not let the experts sway you into buying a T3i or a T2i. If your beginning to use DSLR's or come from a bridge camera like I did, this is the camera for you. Excellent qualities. Easy to use. That may be the reason why others say different. It is too easy to use. 12mp is more than enough, especially if you plan to shoot in RAW or JPEG. BTW, the $100 3 year in-store extended warranty is cheap when compared to buying a new camera.

I did alot of research and really had a hard time choosing which camera to get. I definantly made the right decision. I absolutly love this camera. Right out of the box it shoots beautiful, crisp pictures. I still need to read manual on all the manual stuff you can do but so far I used the CA (creative auto) mostly and it shoots the most beautiful pictures. I also really like the sports mode, shoots very quick images. I didn't get the extra zoom lens because I didn't think I needed it but wish I had, not much zoom for this camera if your at a distance. Although I have cropped the pictures taken at a distance and they are still clear. The 2 pictures I uploaded, I just used the pre-set modes, potrait & creative auto and they were amazing shots. Wish I could upload more. ! I don't think you will be disappointed.

She is an aspiring photographer who was using the the T3 in her Digital Photography class so getting one for her as a gift seemed to be a very good thing. For the price it is a good camera, especially for beginners. I have attached a photo she took that was selected by Jones Soda for one of their labels.

This is an excellent camera for what my husband and I want to use it for. We're not professionals, or anything like that. We just love to take pictures of the buidlings downtown, our son, and even the night sky. It's easy to use, of great quality, and is very versatile.

This is my first DSLR camera and I have had it since Feb 4, 2013. I absolutley love it! I upgraded from a 4 year old Canon Point & Shoot. Although I am familiar with Canon cameras, I found this camera to be very user friendly. I did refer to the user manual a few times & it is quite helpful. This camera has so many great features! I use the TV, AV and Manual Mode the most to capture nature shots in daylight, and shots of my kiddos inside & outside. I never got great indoor pics with my point & shoot but I do with this camera! My kids are 5 & 3 and never stop moving! With this camera I no longer get blurry photos. The battery life is awesome...seriously the best I've ever had in a camera (I've owned 4 other digital cameras in the past). I run the battery down and only leave it on the charger until it's fully charged. I did purchase a backup battery for vacations and just incase. This camera is a lot larger and heavier than a normal point & shoot and it's something to keep in mind! It's not something you'll be able to put in your pocket, purse or diaper bag. The camera does take video but I've yet to use this feature! I recommend buying an addtional lens for this camera. I chose the Canon EFS 55-250mm zoon lens. I'd also recommend a lens cleaning pen, backup battery, a large high quality memory card, and a bag large enough for the camera & accessories. This is a great camera for everyone! I highly recommend it!

I just bought this camera last week and was skeptical since it was new. I still have not figured out how to work everything yet but it takes great shots. I am an amateur and still need to read through my manual or take lessons. I will say that the auto mode does just that.. it takes a great shot not matter what! All I need now is a zoom lens and I will be set. So far love love love this camera!

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She was able to get it up and going in no time, and the pictures it produces are wonderful. Combine that with the bundle Best Buy was running (Bag, SD card, extra lens, and camera) and the price was to good to pass up. I am not a photography expert, but so far as I can tell this should meet the needs of most people out there and then some.
