It's easy to spend a whole lot more on a digital camera these days, but this camera has just the features most people need. I am sure a professional would need something more, but for the majority of camera users out there, this should do the trick.
The fold out screen works very well and can be closed completely when a preview of each shot isn't needed. The battery life has been very good so far. As a user of the first generation EOS Rebel, I was very pleased with the performance of this "entry level" model.

Bought this camera about 2-months ago and I love it! Shooting pictures of youth sports - girls hockey, figure skating, basketball and softball. Pics are awesome. Also took the family out one day for portraits and they turned out amazing. Better than any studio we've been to. Be sure to read through the manual so you gain a basic understanding of different functions and picture taking ideas. Also, recommend a min 250mm zoom lens. So happy with this camera!

I've taken many photos very shortly after purchasing my Canon EOS Rebel T3i. I haven't even opened the users manual, & could figure out how to use this incredibly fine camera, which I consider good value/moderately priced. Bought various 58mm lens filters, & a nice camera case. Also bought Canon EF 75-300mm lens ! What an awesome lens ! Quality of photos are the very best of any I've taken in my life. I truly found Canon to be more user-friendly than some Nikon's I had considered. I love my Canon ! For reals !

I have used two different DSLRs for work purposes and this is my first personal DSLR. I went with Canon because I felt it was easier for multiple levels of users. I don't consider myself an expert using my work camera, but knew this T3i was the right choice for hobby. I really enjoy the 3.7fps! I haven't experimented with the video yet, but am confident it will be better than my work Canon video quality. My wife really likes the quality of the images we take. All-in-all, this is a great hobbyist camera for the price. We waited for the T4i to come out before buying T3i, saving quite a bit on the price. I highly recommend this camera!

Bought this camera as my first step in moving beyond the beginner stage of photography. I have been very pleased with all the features this camera has to offer. Most of the photos I have been taking are in the manual setting and the camera is easy to adjust on the fly. I love the large LCD screen. It came in handy on our vacation in Washington DC and Virginia. With large crowds at every location I was able to turn the screen downward as I held the camera overhead with arms extended. Photos were spectacular.

This is a very good camera for people new to DSLR cameras. It takes excellent pictures and is easy to learn. I like the fact that you can use in auto mode or manual. Also like the fact that you can use the image screen to see what you are shooting so you can hold the camera in different positions without having to use the eyepiece. The image stabilizer works very well also. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start using DSLR cameras.

I have had this camera for a couple of years and still love it! It is extremely easy to use (I never even opened the instructions booklet). I love how clear the pictures are and how quickly the camera is. One thing I noticed it the video camera sometimes has a hard time focusing but I discovered that by auto focusing like you’re going to take a picture and then putting it on the video tab, it works great!

I love love love this camera! I am amazed with the clarity and color quality of this camera. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's my first SLR. It was easy enough to play around with, not know what I was doing and still get incredible pictures!
I did use it outdoors and during the Golden Hour, Sunset. I really purchased it for indoor interior design shots. I think using it outside is easier to get shots. I have a feeling indoors will take some more tutorial time.

Actually got this for videography, but I've taken it to a few outings with friends. Whenever I post pictures on facebook everyone is amazed at the quality of the pics. I would highly recommend this for making videos or taking pictures at an affordable price for someone looking to get serious about video/photo.

This is my first DSLR as an upgrade to my tiny casio point and shoot. The pictures are a huge improvement and so far the camera has been very easy to use. I've used auto mode, no flash, and action mode. My biggest issue is with camera shake, but that is on the user end not the camera's. I look forward to diving into the creative modes and more advanced areas as I work with it. Lenses are easy to change and there is a wide variety available.

It is great camera and bestselling.
I believe that T3i is better than T4i in terms of the price and quality based.
- Good Grip
- Easy to use
- Better with 18-135
- Good Image Sensor
- Pleaes don't forget to buy Flash Speedlite 430EX II (good price)
- Please buy with 70-300 Zoom lens for outside pictures.
Great camera for family and ladies to use.

This is my first DSLR and I love it! I was a little unsure when I was purchasing this camera that I was going to be totally clueless when I got home but to my surprise it was very easy to figure out. I'm still learning a lot but I am so happy I took the risk. The pictures look amazing and the video quality is better then some actual video cameras.

We bought this camera because it came highly recommended, and it has not disappointed. We use this camera to primarily take pictures of our newborn and the picture quality is amazing. We are not experienced with a camera such as this but you wouldn't know it by looking at the pictures. At the price, I highly recommend this camera!

First DSLR camera, although I have had experience with traditional SLR camera many years ago. Very easy to set up and use, using the auto settings got great results first time but will spend time reading the manual to use more of the features.
Very satisfied with my purchase.

I have been looking for a beginners DSLR camera and this one had great reviews. If you have never owned a Canon before, it may take a little while to get used to the functions.
I first started using the auto functions which takes GREAT pictures then once I became more familiar with the camera I am using the manual options a lot more. It gives me a lot of freedom with my photography.
So far I have used this camera with landscapes, portraits, and close ups.
One thing to remember is to buy an SD card right away as the camera does not come with one. This camera comes with the 18-55mm lens and I have had no issues with it. Even though professionals dislike the stock lens because of its quality. As a beginner, I can't tell the difference and think it works great! The pictures come out crisp and clear. Definitely an upgrade from my point-and-shoot. I initially bought the 75-300mm telephoto zoom lens, but ended up returning it and getting the 55-250mm telephoto lens instead. I don't have a tripod and the 75-300 doesn't have the image stabilization as the 55-250 lens so I was getting blurry images when zooming in. I am very happy with my 55-250 lens and don't have to worry too much about shaking hands and getting blurry images. I would also recommend getting lens protectors (like the Rocketfish Lens filters) and lens cap keeper so you don't lose them.
The only negative I have is that when I want to be in the picture and have someone else take the photo with my camera, not a lot of people know how to use these fancy cameras :)
