This is an easy to use DSLR camera once you get the hang of using it. I came from using a point & shoot camera for years. This has a fully automatic setting that will adjust everything great. You can see what your photo will look like by looking through the view finder, or using the live mode, which shows it on the LCD screen on the back. This camera takes great HD movies also. I was considering getting a separate video camera but don't need to since the HD video is a great quality. I was told by a professional photographer that this is a great starter DSLR camera. It will most likely be the only DSLR camera that I buy since it has so many great features! I would recommend this to a friend. In fact, I had bought one for my daughter as a graduation present and liked it so much I bought one for myself. This bundle is a great deal when it goes on sale for $450. I like the Canon case for carrying the camera and lenses. It has room for the battery charger, software discs and the user manuals.

I think this is a pretty good camera! Didn't think I would be too happy with it since for me it was still a little expensive but I love that it comes with two lenses since I can do close-ups with one of them and I haven't really tried the other but I think I can do landscapes with the other lens. I will upload pictures to show you the potential this camera has. The photos have been edited though.

I own this camera and it really takes great pictures. It has a great Auto Focus on it. The auto focus makes it so anyone can take amazing photos. It's also great for professionals. You can fine tune every setting manually to get just the perfect shot you're looking for. For the price, you really can't beat this camera. The only real difference between this camera and the higher model is that this one doesn't have a touch screen. I don't find it necessary to have a touch screen, that's why I have this one.

The camera is easy to operate on the automatic as well as manually. Picture quality is good and the settings are easy to set. The only complaint I have is that the auto focus up close doesn't always focus as sharp as we would like and sometimes it is necessary to put it on manual focus to get clarity. Overall though we are pleased with the camera and the ease of operation.

I bought this camera for my wife and I. We found ourselves taking way too many low quality pics on our phones. We wanted to get back to taking good quality pictures that we could actually print out and put frames on instead of always sharing on Facebook. This camera was perfect for us because it is easy to use, takes great pictures, plus came with the lenses that we need to take great action shots of our sons soccer and hockey games.

I bought this camera for my teenage daughter and she learned very quickly how to use it. She takes beautiful pictures with it and enjoys many of the features and accessories. I also have used this camera and am very impressed with the quality. The Best Buy bundle made it very affordable, and the camera lives up to Canon's good name!!

I originally bought this as a bundle with the 50 and 300 zoom lens but later exchanged it for an SL1 basically due to the smaller size of the SL1 that my wife preferred (it was a gift for her anyway) Both cameras rate almost equally well in reviews so I rated this as well as our SL1 which we like a lot. Before selecting a camera there are tons of professional reviewers out there that can explain advantages of one camera vs. another. Best buy honored the price drop during black Friday on my purchase and refunded me some money back, what else can someone ask besides the 18 month interest free financing?

I purchased this for my daughter for a college photography class. Before purchasing I was researching the cost of cameras and lens and was shocked at the cost. I looked at a couple different retail store and decided to go to Best Buy. I loved the package deal with the additional lens and the camera bag. My daughter loves the camera. She said it was easy to use and learn how to operate. She's getting great pictures. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I'm a graphic artist and I bought this as a gift for my fiancé when she expressed an interest in photography. I'm very impressed with the photo quality that can be had from this package. That being said, you must READ THE MANUAL to enjoy the full potential of this camera. The learning curve isn't that steep, but If you just want to point, shoot and go pop your SD Card into the kiosk this may not be for you...there are many of those cameras available out there. If you are new to photography and serious about capturing truly stunning images, read the manual, get yourself a book on photography, then play around with the settings and experiment with the different lenses and shoot shoot shoot. Best Buy even offers classes on digital photography at our local store, maybe yours too. For the $ this is a fantastic entry level set up.

Great package for the price! This bundle is great for a beginner - intermediate photographer. Easy to use right out of the box, but also many advanced options to grow with. Bonus that comes with a lens and great carrying case!

I've owned many video cameras and point and shoot cameras. From my experience Cannon has been a very good brand so I decided to stick with them on my dip into the DSLR market. I am very pleased that I did. After doing a lot of research I decided to go with the T5 because I rarely find the need to use wifi and for $100 difference over the T6 it is defiantly a feature I can do with out. The camera is easy to use, with a ton of features that allow you to customize every shot. I like that it is not a touch screen. The battery seems to last forever even when shooting with the onboard flash. I bought the package deal that came with the 50mm and 300mm lens. Both are great. I honestly can't say I have found a single thing that I don't like about this camera. Wai,t there is one thing. When shooting video, the audio does not seem to be great. But in all fairness the only video I have shot was at a football game where the audio was coming from about 50yards to the side of where I was shooting.

This is my first "professional" camera and I love it! Easy to use and takes great photos without having to edit them if you don't want. The bundle is a great deal, my friend recently graduated and the extra lends came in handy. It zoomed in so close that it looked like I was sitting beside her.

Great camera for a not so tech savvy person (me!). It is light weight, intuitive to use. WIFI download is a great idea. Has everything you might want in a camera. Lenses are easy to put on and take off. Fun to use.

Ok so still getting the hang of it but it takes decent pics .Software that comes with it is easy to use. Only prob is is trying to get a spare battery for it as BESTBUY only has the battey lp-e10(which is what the t5 says it also uses) but the batterylisted on website says its for a t3 model only and I inquired if it is also for the t5 they couldnt give me a definite answer... so here in a week or so I'll be purchasing a spare battery from cannon instead of best buy.

Easy to use, lightweight, takes excellent pictures. Just wish you could easily force the flash on off in any setting.

I bought this camera as a package & it came with 2 lenses and a case. I am still learning to use it on different settings, but it is very easy to use and the quality of the pictures are phenomenal. My friend & I went on a cruise a few weeks after I bought it & we loved taking pictures with it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about stepping into photography or for anyone looking for a camera that produces high quality images for a great price.

I will start off by saying that I am not a professional photographer by any stretch of the imagination. However, with that being said, I absolutely love this camera. My father had received the T3 a few years back and even though mine was a few renditions past that, all of the parts were interchangeable (Great job Cannon). Being a father of 4 children who are all 5 and below, it is very important to me to document the different stages of their lives. The Cannon T5 fits the bill perfectly, outstanding picture quality, ease of use for an amateur photographer, and fairly compact (for a DSLR at least). All around I am very happy with my purchase.

The quality of the pictures are great. The camera is easy to use and not too heavy. The deal I got for the camera was amazing!

I purchased this camera right before a trip to New York. I was highly complimented on the photos I posted on my facebook and instagram. The leading comments were that my photos looked crisp, clean and professional. The camera was easy for me to use, HOWEVER, when I needed a "quick" pic from a stranger on the street, I had to pull out my Iphone...EVERYONE knows how to use an Iphone!, not so much the camera. (people got intimidated by it) This camera is great for those that are looking to take their time in getting that great shot, maybe a shot with a tripod,and/or a photo with special effects.
