Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent camera quality and ease of use of the EOS Rebel T5 DSLR Camera. Many also appreciate its affordable price and lightweight design. While some users noted minor issues with autofocus performance and the lack of an included memory card, the positive feedback on image quality and user-friendliness outweighs these concerns.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife. She loves the ease of use and has commented on how well it holds in her hands. Easy to navigate menu screens and great night shots. We of course compared it to her iPhone 6 camera, which I think is pretty good. The Canon is much shaper and gets farther away shots.

Got this for my wife for Christmas. Really easy to learn and use. You can use it in place of a point and shoot, all the way up to some pretty technical stuff and everything in between. Can't beat the deal with all the accessories, either.

I'm not going to lie I'm a little bit biased I prefer a Nikon camera with a Nikkor lens. I did a lot of looking around store to store the day I purchased this Canon EOS. Hands down when I came across this kit with two lenses the camera and case I was a little skeptical. My little brother has always been a Canon EOS fan. However I did not want a biased opinion so I did not call and ask him about it. I'm an old school 27 year old 35 millimeter film guy. I'm still learning a bit about the camera. I've owned it for a few weeks now I've yet to come across a major complaint. Every issue I've had has definitely been a user issue. I highly recommend to take some time and read through the owner's manual and play with the camera on different settings learn with the icons do learn with menu screens do so far I love this game is just as much as my old school Nikon. Canon thank you for producing such a quality product and packing yet with the accessories a true amateur photographer would like to have spirit

This camera is very nicely packaged for a starter DSLR. Both lenses are well built and handles the images properly. It does what it promises and does it very well. A few drawbacks, though. One, it does not have a IR sensor for any type of remote control for shutter release. You need to buy the one with the cable. Two, the LCD screen is very hard to read in direct sunlight. You need to crank up the brightness all the way if you are using the LCD screen in sunlight. Thirdly, when recording in VIDEO mode, the sound is MONO and any movement of the lease focusing can be heard on the recording. It is nice for static shots, where you do not need to focus all the time on an object, but you will hear the servo motor if the lens needs to focus during recording.

Being on a trip with a Nikon that went kaput, I decided it was time to try "the other brand", so staying within my price range, Best Buy had a sale on this Canon T5 with dual lenses and a bag. The camera body is easy to hold and shorter focal length lens 18-55mm zoom is light enough to carry around. The longer 75-300mm zoom lens is pretty heavy and doesn't easily hang from your neck if that's preferred way to carry. A digital holster would be more comfortable. Pick up a couple different 58mm filters and you're ready to go. The picture quality is outstanding

I bought this camera before going out of town for a week, and fell in love with it. I've been around dslr cameras before. This one is very easy to learn and to use. Great camera and the larger lens works great for taking pictures from a far.

Got this as a gift for my husbands fathers day/birthday gift. This is to replace his old Canon camera that has been out of commission for quite a few years. Easy to use and instruction book is clear to follow. The extra zoom lens was a plus.
