We were disappointed when we found out that it does not have an external mic port, other then that we have been very happy with it.

Great for amateurs

It's great if amateurs as a first camera to play with. I only wish that the lens that it comes with was higher in magnification, but it is what it is and an additional lens is required for what I want out of a camera.
