Great entry level camera with features of the more higher quality dslr's. This is the second Rebel I own, I have a XT that is 7 years old and going strong. The T5i is a pretty power packed camera.

I do like this camera very much. It is easy enough to use and takes great pictures. I would like more zoom without having to spend hundreds more but it is still a great value for what I need to do. I ran in to someone looking for a camera recently and told her how much I liked my Rebel T5i.

I did a lot of research and with my budget, I bought the T5i and I love it! It’s the flagship of the rebels and I plan on using it on weddings shoots and creative video’s (Note: Don’t buy the T4i…It locks up, I think that’s why they built the T5i with the 5 Digit chip). I just got all my gear together, I have: 1) Canon T5i with the nicer 18-135mm lens kit, from Best Buy. 2) Canon 600EX-RT flash (Note: this flash is the only flash with an ETTL radio transceiver built right in, from Best Buy. 3) Sand Disk Extreme Pro 32GB memory card. And a Sand Disk Ultra 32GB memory card for a backup, from Best Buy. 4) Canon hood. 5) Batteries: one Canon that came with camera kit and four Lenmar batteries, from Best Buy. 6) Canon case, from Best Buy. 7) Tiffen Stroboframe Quickflip 350 flash bracket, from Best Buy. 8) ETTL cable, softbox, many AA 15minute rechargeable batteries for my flash and more… This all makes a great setup that all works together awesomely!!! (Note: I worked the best deals I could…and Best Buy does price match! Bottom line: I love all the choices I made!!!

The Canon T5i is an awesome little camera with lots of fabulous features. I feel like my photos - particularly sunsets and portraits - have greatly improved with the purchase and use of this little dynamo! I do the majority of my processing right in the camera without really using my Adobe Lightroom except in certain circumstances. The buttons are a definite improvement over earlier models with everything in an easy and logical reach. I purchased the camera with the 18-135mm lens and it is a blessing to have in nearly every situation. The shutter on this Canon is fast and able to keep up with my every whim. I like this camera very much and highly recommend it.

Only negative I have on camera is battery life. I ended up buying second battery to make sure I can continue to shoot. First quality camera I have purchased and I am getting awesome shots while learning. Very easy to learn the camera and very easy to change settings. Love the touch screen.

I spent a loooong time researching cameras and debating what I wanted. I did the whole Nikon vs Canon debate and realized they are both exceptional brands. It came down to functionality of menu and the feel of the camera in my hands. I finally settled on the T5i since the T4i was being discontinued. I have been amazed at how great the pictures come out and everyone I take pictures for has been amazed as well. When I tried the camera out in the store I was overwhelmed with menus and features. But once I got it home and there wasnt a sales person watching me, I actually realized it was really easy to navigate! There is also a section in the menu that you can customize and add the menu options you use the most for faster reference. This camera also does not weigh as much as I thought it would and I have not found my arm getting tired at all yet. I am really pleased with this camera even though I wish it were on sale. But I just couldnt wait!!

I am so happy I purchased this camera. I'm a beginning photographer, and there are so many features on this baby to help make your photos fabulous. I would recommend going through the user manual early on to learn all the features. Compatible with so many Canon lenses for even more photo variety.

I REALLY like this camera. It is my first DSLR and I love it. It has simple/easy features as well as more advanced features available as I learn more about photography. I took a photography 101 class and like half of the class had the same camera!

I've always purchased Nikon cameras, but I'm now a convert to Canon. it's simple to use, takes great photos and the touch screen takes it over the top. Purchased with a Sigma 18-250mm lens, takes great sports photos from far away.

The photos that I have taken to date are unbelievable. My prior camera was a samsung point and shoot and there is no comparison on the quality of pictures that a SLR takes. I also purchased the 250 mm zoom. Cannot wait to take this on vacation to preserve memories in print?

I was pleasantly surprised to find a camera with this feature set that is also easy to get started with. I have only begun to explore the capabilities, but the results so far are great, and I expect that they (and I) will get much better as I gain experience. The camera "encourages" me, rather than intimidating me, and I'm enjoying using it.
