This is our next step up from a point and shoot digital camera and it is taking beautiful pictures. We looked at several makes and models before deciding on this one. The comfort in the hand is notable and the feature of the rotating screen is useful. The weather hasn't been the greatest since Christmas, so we're excited about the colorful spring ahead to really get out and experiment with it. I think we made a good choice in this model and make at this level of camera. I suggest watching videos online on how to use the camera. You can use it on Auto if you want to, but if you like to play around with f-stops etc. it is different than the old 35mm SLR cameras.

I purchased the camera for my wife for Christmas. She hasn't opened it yet, but from reviews and from talking to friends it is a great camera for someone starting out.

I did have this T5 model and everything was good, I went to purchase the telephoto lens and notice the T6 model. I returned the next day to exchange camera.

Very responsive camera. Excellent pictures. However, it's a big camera! With lenses, it's a commitment to carry around! Have not used the video enough to comment on that.
