Great camera for a novice, and has been good early out of the box.

Good camera lots of options if you know what you ate doing takes great pics and video. Hard for beginner

My teenage son reviewed this camera and wanted it because of the processor in it. It's processor is as good as higher end camcorders for less money. He uses it to film school projects.

Very capable of shooting professional cuts! You just need to learn and get a hang of it!

I needed a new camera. My other camera was more than ten years old. I had heard a lot of great things about this one. It lives up to its reputation.

The T5i is a great value. Very intuitive settings. Huge number of lenses and other accessories to choose from. Lenses from my T2i totally interchangeable. No better camera for twice the price.

The battery life is good. The images are great if proper set up or if the camera doesn't freeze.

I've used this camera in my university and I love it! I've used it for many projects in class, I used it at my friend's wedding, at conventions, and for many other places and events and continue to do so in the future.

Been playing around with it and Love this camera. For someone who never took photography I'm getting the results I never thought would happen.

The Canon EOS Rebel T5i is a great camera for it's price.

I'm doing this review so this item won't have 666 reviews any longer :) I'm a novice/first time DSLR camera user who had 0% knowledge of operating a camera outside of the one included in my smart phone. I was looking for a user friendly/moderately priced camera that can stand on it's own, while being able to operate in a way that I could understand. I feel that this camera lives up to that expectation. I read reviews prior, asked around, and talked to the Best Buy associate before purchasing. Everyone led me to this camera, particularly because of the name and the accessibility of lenses and other accessories. I'm perfectly fine with that. The price seemed high at first, but after comparing, felt about right. For a starter lens and starter camera body, I felt it was reasonable. Overall, I feel like if you are looking for a starter DSLR camera, this is the benchmark starter DSLR camera that all others are compared to.
