This is a pretty good camera for the money. Pros: Clear pictures with ability to shoot in jpeg or RAW Able to sync to a smart phone for remote shooting, so that the photographer can be included in the picture with famliy Canon support, able to use either Canon's EF-S or EF lens' Cons: No flip screen for live view vlogging. WiFi app does not allow for video use only for camera. Not weather resistant, this is not a sealed body and temperature range limits ability to take outdoor photos in weather below 32F. Kits lens is ok 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 is not a fast lens but with good lighting it will take great pictures. Overall this is a great camera it you want to get into DSLR usage without breaking the bank and just enough functions beyond a point and shoot to help learn about taking great photos instead of just snap shots, without being overwhelmed with all the features a pro camera offers. Although it is not the gear that makes a great photographer.

When it comes to DSLRs, there are really only two names you should consider: Canon and Nikon. Both have been making quality products for many years. With this Canon model, it's no different. It offers many of the functions of a much higher priced DSLR, but you sacrifice a few key features for the savings -- one being the ability to record video at 1080p resolution at 60 frames a second. Not necessarily a dealbreaker for most, but a key feature. You can, however, record 60fps at 720p resolution. The LCD is also not movable as it is on higher end models. That said, you do get a lot for your money. You can import pictures directly from the camera via Wi-Fi and a smartphone app. You have access to all Canon EF style lenses. You get fantastic battery life. You can also tweak manual settings to get the results you desire. This camera is by no means a perfect solution to all your photo/video needs, but it is a great starter camera or hobbyist camera for someone who is not looking for the full package (and to spend upwards of $700).

I have had this camera for some months now and can say I really enjoy using it. The pictures come out great. I shoot in manual mode and mostly raw. I do photography as a hobby and really like the quality of the pictures. It is very light which makes it easy to take it with me when I go out. I mostly use the 50 mm f1.8 canon lens to get the bokeh seen in the images I uploaded. These are raw and unedited. Straight from the camera! Only thing I wish is that the battery lasted a little longer but for the price you can’t go wrong.

Before I purchased this camera, I had been playing around with my friend's camera. She uses a Nikon D3400. I decided to go with this camera since I didn't have the money for the Nikon, so after research I gave this a try. After shooting in auto for a couple of days, I was very disappointed in the camera until I decided to shoot in manual and RAW. Long story short, this camera is great if the person using it can learn how to use it, but it is a good camera to learn on. As far as lenses, I would invest in something besides the 18-55 mm lens. I do a lot of close ups, so I actually like the lens if I need to get right in front of my subject. Overall, good camera. Reasonable price, and has potential to be a good camera as long as you are controlling it

The Canon T6 works wonders. Sharp and vibrant photography even with the kit lens, and very good 1080p movie quality. Generally pretty weak in low light but with the right lighting support you can get a decent image. Very good for youtubers/vloggers (minus audio quality in uncontrolled locations, just pick up an external mic). Very good for shooters trying to pick something up that's inexpensive and portable to get experience.

I’m have a live for taking pictures so when my sons football team needed a team photographer that gave me motivation to make this purchase. My friend bought the same camera a couple of years ago but received 2 lenses vs 1. Other than not having the extra lense, i feel that is was a good purchase for the price. Nice crisp pictures and the cannon app makes it easy to download to a phone or tablet.

I love this camera so much and I have it with me all the time but I only gave it four stars for two reasons; I had to exchange the first one I purchased because, right out of the box, the battery wouldn't charge so I had to take back and second, I sometimes have issues uploading the pictures to my computer. But aside from that it has all the settings a beginner would need and it's ideal for travel because it's lightweight and the lends isn't big.

For a first DSLR camera, this rocks! I love having the option to send out a WiFi signal and connect it to my tablet as that’s where I do most of my editing. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is that some of the settings are kind of confusing to get into. But, that’s just a matter of me wanting instant gratification.

Overall, this is a great camera, exactly what I was looking for. My only wish was that I could remove the limitations for recording videos. Once the file reaches 30 minutes or 4Gb, the camera stops recording, and it has to be manually restarted. If it would simply create a new file and keep going, the camera would be perfect.

This is a very nice camera. First time owning and slr camera. Not too bad to learn, however, all the Wi-Fi features leave a bit to be desired. The eye-fi feature will not work for me even after contacting eye-fi (who has been taken over by Keenau). The nfc feature seems a bit complicated, etc. I'll just stick to using it as a regular normal camera.

I bought this to replace a non-digital Canon EOS camera. That honestly hadn't been used in years. I was happy that my old EF lenses worked just as well on this as the new EF-S lenses that are included with it. It takes excellent pictures. I've not used the Wifi or NFS, but was glad that they are there if I do want to utilize them.

It’s an okay camera, if you are a beginner like me this will work just fine. I haven’t downloaded the app or anything yet but the pictures I take are definitely high quality. I plan on taking the Best Buy camera class soon so I can fully embrace this camera. It was on sale which was another plus.

This is a great camera for beginners. This was my first DSLR camera and it is very easy to use. If you are planning to use this for photography it is great. I would not recommend it for filming mainly because it does not have a flip out screen.

is the basic camera, problems: 1- when you connect phone to camera, you can't work with camera at that time. 2- when you zoom while recording video, the lens noise can be heard in the recorded video. 3- while recording video, the camera can't focus and you have to use manual focus.

It is a very nice camera, but all the electronic settings require time and attention to learn and use. Took it on our vacation out west and had many opportunities to use it at nearly 10 national parks. Wish I could have read up and practiced more before using it.

When the camera is set to fully automatic ("A+"), it even raises and fires the flash when needed! Pictures are sharp and auto exposure is right-on!

I first purchased the DsLr 70 but it was too technical for my girlfriend so I exchanged for the Rebel. My girlfriend loves the rubble and allows her to take pretty pictures with great clarity but yet not so technical where she is intimidated by it

This camera is great for beginners. The only downside I found about it is that the screen is not touch screen & does not flip but other than that it works great and the photo quality is great.
