Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the EOS Rebel T6i's camera quality and ease of use, frequently praising its performance and user-friendliness. Many also appreciate the convenient touch screen and its effectiveness in various settings, including low-light conditions. While some find the camera somewhat heavy, the positive feedback on image quality and ease of operation outweighs this concern.

I'm enjoying using my new Rebel T6i and the lens is convenient not having to switch lens out. It is much heavier than the smaller lens that I am accustomed to but I am loving the large range.

    Awful. Blur. Noise. Grain.

After 6 weeks with this camera I am ready to give up on it. I just spent an hour on the phone with customer service. The camera is working fine. The lenses are working fine. After a great deal of discussion, the rep essentially told me if I want pictures not to be blurry or grainy, I'll have to use higher f stop and aperture OR a flash. That doesn't really work for me since I mainly take portraits of kids (so I want a blurred background, sharp faces, no flash). My old Ti4 was great at this right out of the box. This camera needs to be babied and if you are a casual hobby photographer who mainly takes pics of kids, this camera will not be the one for you. The rep told me the file sizes are bigger so pics looks worse. (Which seems to be exactly the opposite of what you want--you have ONE JOB, camera.) I really don't care why the pictures are worse, all I know is that they look blurry, grainy, noisy. I can't return it and it's not broken so I'm out all the money I spent on this camera (and I bought it plus some lenses). I'm extremely unhappy with Canon.

I had a Canon T2i for 4 years and also used T3i for a bit. But, Canon T6i is the ultimate top performing successor among the Rebel series, when coupled with the EF-S 18-135mm IS STM lens. Its superior image quality, fast silent focus, swivel touch screen, amazing low light sesiivity and good image stabilization is worth the extra dollars when compared to the previous generation products. The videos also seem great!

Great Camera, go with 18-135 vs 18-55

Camera is a go. Shoots high quality video and pictures with the kit lens. Go with this over the 18-55. 55mm is barley close enough for portrait.

As a former professional photographer, TV producer and Director, I wanted a cost effective camera which would allow me more professional photos than I was getting from my simple grab-and-go Sony. This allowed me that option. But, I must be honest and tell you that I was not as impressed with the easy of video that I got from my recently purchased Canon Vixia G20, which I've exchanged for the newer G30. The auto focus was much faster with the dedicated video camera. But, as a still camera, I chose the 18mm - 135mm lens, I'm thrilled with the quality. Why not take this camera for a test drive and see for yourself.
