I narrowed down on Canon EOS 80D, Nikon 5600 and the Rebel T7i. All of these were great choices but the 80D with the 18-135mm lens was a bit heavy and more expensive than my $1000 budget. 5600 and T7i were comparable in features and price, but the T7i had newer processor and slightly better focus. So far, I love the camera and it offers tons of features and an intuitive user interface. The performance is great even in low light conditions. The only issue is the inconsistency of the Wifi/Bluetooth connectivity to the phone, but that may be due to several factors and won't count it against the camera.

After seeing my sons T6i, I finally took the plunge and upgraded from a Rebel XT that was over 10 years old. I went up to the T7i. Wow what a difference a decade makes. I'm a Canon guy all the way so it was nice to see that the controls are still the same with some added features like Scene. I'm very happy with this purchase. the photo quality with the 18-135mm is excellent. I also purchased 50mm 1.8 (must have) to go with it. Getting back into photography again and loving it.

Was always jealous of this camera’s older versions that my friend had, extremely satisfied with the purchase and can’t wait for future endeavors with it. Easy on-screen directions for beginners too.

As a newbie to the DSLRs I love this camera. I was looking for a new camera for a trip to Peru. I read all the reviews and did a lot of research before buying this camera. I then spent time in the store with the BB camera expert. This camera did not disappoint me. My pictures were excellent. It's a very easy camera to learn.

I was looking to upgrade and was on a budget. I read the reviews of this camera and it was compared to to EOS 80D as far as quality and performance. This camera packs alot of features and quality that higher priced cameras offer. I love the versatile 118 - 135 lens. This camera takes great pictures. I've made 20 x 30 inch enlargements with reflect all the fine detail of scenic and portrait photography.

I decided it was time to upgrade from my T1i that I'd been using for almost 10 years. I take thousands of pictures yearly -- mostly of outdoor landscapes (lighthouses, waterfalls, fall colors, sunrises, etc.) and have always been happy with the T1i -- so I'm super excited to use this T7i. I'm not a professional photographer (I enjoy it as a hobby) but I know my way around the various settings and techniques for photographing different scenes using different lenses and filters. So far it's really easy to use (as expected), consistent in design to my T1i, and is definitely a worthy purchase. The 24.2mp spec alone is a huge upgrade over the 15.1mp, not to mention the ISO difference (51,200 ISO (T7i) compared to 12,800 ISO (T1i)). My T1i is still in great shape so I will keep that as a spare (a testament to the quality of the Canon line of products in general) but I am definitely looking forward to taking this T7i on my road trips. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of all of the features that this camera has and I'm confident it will be as valuable to me as my T1i was/is, if not more!

Our first use was whale watching on a trip to Cabo. We have amazing pictures. The camera was easy to use and has many advanced features (for stepping out of the true amateur mode...) but is simple enough to grab and go and get outstanding shots! Quick to focus and 7 frames a second were perfect for the action of breaching humpbacks!

Great price for a good camera. I wasn't looking for top of the line camera for several thousand dollars. Works very well with the 18-135. Can upgrade with different lenses later. Some of the controls can get complex, but several point and shoot modes makes it easy for novices (like us) to operate.
