Bought for my wife, she just loved it, easy to operate

Gave this camera as a birthday gift to a budding photographer. It was exactly what they wanted and I was excited because not only was it what was asked for, Canon’s reputation for a quality product will help the recipient work towards their goal with quality equipment.

This is an excellent camera for the advanced amateur. The wider zoom range and slightly faster lense is definitely worth the upgrade from the standard kit lense. I reccomend getting the For Dummies book specific to this camera.

Not great in low light. Touch Screen shooting and accurate color preview when shooting in Manual mode are great.

I love my new camera I got for Christmas. I have to learn how to use all the features, but it takes beautiful pictures. I like the feature where I can send my pics to my phone directly from my camera.

It is a close call between d80 and t7i. I feel if someone is looking for a camera for videography then he should go with d80

I bought this baby the same month it came out. I had my eye one it for a while I did not want the T6i. The camera is solid I've own it for 3 years now. If you just shoot in auto this might not be the camera for you I would go with a point and shoot, something like a Panasonic LX10 or similar. It does take great photos in auto but to bring out the full potential manual shooting in great lighting is recommended. Nevertheless I do recommend this camera to anyone. And I actually feel proud that I bought this thing 3 years ago and the price really hasn't gone down. So I don't feel ripped off like with other products. 1,200 bucks for this is a fair price. BUT ..... If you just get the body and but a Canon Lens kit of you liking you might be better off. I would have liked to known this back then.
