I am learning how to use the camera manually, playing with aperture, shutter, and exposure settings. It is very user friendly and takes great pictures. When I want to quickly shoot scenes, the automatic settings are fabulous too. The touch screen LCD makes the use of the camera even easier!!!

Love the pictures it takes! Very good quality. It is easy to use but I'm still currently learning all the other things I can do with it. I love that I can connect it to my phone but it needs to be connected under the same wifi.

I love this camera, however, it's not as user friendly as my T5, I guess that's because I'm still learning. It's lightning fast and takes crisp bright pictures in bright light.... but I'm still having a hard time in low light. Hopefully it's me and not the camera. I'm stoked that there's a macro! My only complaint with these cameras is if you're going to invest a grand on a camera.... could you possible throw in a carrying case.... c'mon guys!

Purchased T7 after reviewing specs on more expensive canons. The 45 focal points allows for a very clear and sharp picture. I am very satisfied with picture quality and ease of use. Lens purchased for use with T6 canon are interchangeable with T7 (all lens worked great on T7.

Very good entry level DSLR, great value for what the product is and I highly recommend it. Easy to get amazing shots right out of the box and the included lens is a great starting lens to learn on.

This is my first "real" camera. So far I am thoroughly enjoying this device. I researched quite a few cameras and decided this one would give me the best bang for my buck. Fairly lightweight. The menus are easy to read. Kit lens gives me a lot of room to play. I also like that it is fairly easy to find tutorials and info on using this camera. Additional lenses are also not terribly expensive. I've already purchased another lens

This camera was the first camera I ever actually owned, but I do have experience with photography. If you are a beginner it would be very easy to use! This camera has a lot of great settings and amazing picture quality.

This is a great choice if you are starting out and have a budget of around $1000 dollars. The camera with the Kit lens which is fantastic in itself is around 800 this leaves rooms for your inevitable accessories and prime lens. Do not use this for Auto Mode Pictures. This is a full feature only missing a few features over the top of the line versions such as AF micro adjustment. Learn to use it, take your time and learn to become a photographer. Portraits, landscapes, wildlife. This sucker can do it all. I recommend the STM lenses as well which this includes for a kit lens. The 55-250 STM is also a must.

    Nice camera but with caveat

I read endless reviews on cameras and had experience with Canon, and the consensus was the T7i was a nice leap from previous Rebels with the new auto focus system and the live view (looking at the viewfinder instead of putting your eye to the eye piece) performance was the same as the view finder (so if you like to use the SLR like a cell phone there is no drawback like some other cameras). The only problem I see is I should have bought the body only since the kit lens is now a base f4, which lets a little less light in than prior kit lenses at f3.5. What this does is when taking shots inside in Auto the ISO gets jacked up by the camera which can introduce a little "noise" which you may or may not notice, or causes a slower shutter speed than you might like for moving things like kids and dogs inside. The lens is fine if you like outdoor shots but for inside I wish I saved the $100 and got the body only with either the 24mm 2f2.8 Prime/fixed lens or the "nifty fifty" 50mm f1.8 lens, or the Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 lens. All those lenses let more light in for indoor shots, so it just depends what you are looking to do. Also I borrowed my friend's Sony a6000 with a $350 20mm pancake lense which I felt took sharper pictures. All in all this is a good entry to mid level SLR camera that has a nice heft and the lenses are cheap (the 2 Canon lenses - 24mm and 50mm and both under $150). I also got the 55-250 f4 Telephoto zoom lens for $150 (usually $300) and it is really sharp and gives nice blur to the background. Please note that I do have some experience with cameras (just didn't want to spend too much for a knock around camera for taking pics of kids and dogs and landscapes) and if you don't like the idea of swapping out lenses and/or you are a novice this camera and lens kit are probably more of a 4.5 stars.

This is my first DSLR and it's great for beginners. I like how its guidance helps you know what everything is for. I bought it mainly to take pictures of my boys and it gets great pictures while they are running around. I love this camera!

This camera is great, has a lot of lenses you can buy, accessories and all that stuff. I️ went on you tube to learn how to use it better, there are a lot of good learning sources out there, I️ was going to originally going to go with a Nikon but I️ heard I’d be happy either way no matter what I️ chose. so I literally flipped a coin and got this one.
