Camera is an upgrade to a Canon XS from 2008. Completely better technology and just as easy and intuitive to use. Canon EF platform is my favorite even though they are coming out with mirrorless. The T8i exceeded expectations.

I went in looking for mirrorless camera and after telling the professionals what i wanted in a camera, i ended up with the DSLR instead. I wanted more video and camera. They suggested the DSLR is my go to because mirrorless is more for pictures. Im more than happy with this purchase.

This was my first camera ever and it transformed into having my own business!! It’s the perfect entry level camera, not super difficult to learn and exceeded my expectations! I did not use the lens that came with it- as it wasn’t enough for portraits. I bought the 50mm and 35mm from Canon and it transformed all images!!

I was looking to make the jump from a smartphone to an interchangeable-lens camera, and initially I purchased a Fujifilm mirrorless. When I started having issues with it less than 1 month after purchase, I returned it and decided to go with a DSLR despite camera shop pros recommending that I stick with mirrorless. I am so glad that I opted for a DSLR and waited for the Canon Rebel T8i to become available. The camera is intuitive to use because of Canon's menu design, its ergonomics and button/dial placement are excellent, and the image quality is great right out of the box. I also really value battery life; I can go days without charging this camera, whereas my mirrorless had to be charged after just a half day of use. Yes, mirrorless may be viewed as the future of photography, but for a beginner like myself, I love how this camera is easy to use and just works really well.

Certainly! Here’s a review draft for the Canon EOS Rebel T8i DSLR Camera with the EF-S 18-55mm lens, which you might find on the Best Buy website:
Title: A Stellar Journey with the Canon EOS Rebel T8i
As a photography enthusiast transitioning from casual smartphone snaps to more serious, high-quality photography, I recently purchased the Canon EOS Rebel T8i DSLR Camera with the EF-S 18-55mm lens from Best Buy, and it has been nothing short of a revelation.
Performance & Image Quality: The T8i excels in delivering crisp, vibrant images, thanks to its 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor. Whether I’m capturing the delicate hues of a sunset or the intricate details of urban architecture, the T8i handles various lighting conditions with grace. The ISO range is impressively wide, making low-light photography a joy rather than a challenge.
User Experience: Canon’s user interface is famously intuitive, and the T8i continues this tradition. Navigating through settings and modes is straightforward, making it accessible for beginners, yet it packs enough advanced features to satisfy more experienced photographers. The vari-angle touchscreen is a boon, offering flexibility in composing shots from tricky angles.
Video Capabilities: Venturing into video, the T8i’s 4K recording capability is a major plus. The footage is clear and detailed, and the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system ensures that videos are as sharply focused as my stills. For someone keen on exploring videography, this camera provides a solid foundation.
Build & Portability: The camera feels robust yet is lightweight enough for day-long shooting sessions. Paired with the EF-S 18-55mm lens, it’s a versatile setup that covers a wide range of shooting scenarios, from landscapes to portraits.
Connectivity: Sharing my captures is seamless with the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Transferring images to my phone and uploading them to social media or sending them to friends is straightforward and quick.
Final Thoughts: The Canon EOS Rebel T8i, purchased from Best Buy, has been a remarkable tool in my photography journey. It strikes an excellent balance between ease of use for beginners and depth of features for more advanced users. The EF-S 18-55mm lens is the perfect companion, providing great versatility without the need for constant lens changes. If you’re on the fence about which DSLR to invest in, the Canon EOS Rebel T8i deserves your attention.

This is an intermediate-level camera that far exceeds its included kit lens, so if your an advanced photographer but not yet a pro this camera gets the job done just add a higher quality lens and it will carry you into professional-quality photography. It has all the necessary ports including an external mic and HDMI out makes it great for video conferencing etc. Im not a filmmaker so I can't speak to its video capabilities but I do know it has a crop sensor when using 4k. Bluetooth and wifi connectivity works great with the app. dials and menu system is easy to use. the guided feature will help new photographers lean the basics.Overall this is an extremely underrated Camera. it has far to many features the rotating touch screen is very useful its only drawback that I have found is it is only capable of shotting 7 shots per second but all the the images come out very good. i put it upagainst a larger $1900 dollar nikon and it was every bit as good on stills and better on video quality. I am a historian and often work in the field this camera is rugged enough, small and light weight enough to pack or carry on your bag. If your ready for an upgrade and not quite ready for a mirrorless model get this camera, you wont be sorry.jsut remember don't judge it by its included lens get a higher quality lens and you'll be amazed at what this camera can do.

This is my first DSLR camera. I think that this camera is great for beginners. It's easy to setup. I followed the instructions in the book. When I couldn't understand the book, I looked up the information on YouTube University. The quality of the photos are excellent. I truly like the flash on this camera. The pictures comes out excellent. The video quality is awesome!! I like the versatility of the screen. You can defiantly take selfies. I'm still learning the camera since I only had it for a little bit of time, but I'm sure enjoying the quality of the camera.

The best part of this camera is the touch screen and its ability to flip around. Taking Astro photos it would be unbearable to have to sit under the camera to see how shots came out. This fixed that issue wonderfully. It does great in various forms of photography as seen in the photos.

I just replaced my old Canon T1i with this new, and incredible Canon T8i. It is an easy to use DSLR and video camera. It feels so balanced and shoots extremely fast. This will be great for any beginner or amateur photographer. With Covid still in full force, I have so much more time to go out in nature (safely, and socially distancing) to take great photos.

The camera seems to be good for a novice such as myself. Being new to photography and returning after some time, I like what I am learning about the camera. Frustrating is Canon's choice to not include things like a cable to connect to a computer. Also it seems counterintuitive to not have software to use the camera as a webcam, which is one of the things I wanted to do for live streaming. Overall I am happy andlooking forward to discovering more with it.

This camera takes incredible photos and takes 4K video. The photos taken on this compared to the photos taken on a family members T7i are very similar in picture quality. There is a noticeable difference in the video quality compared to the T7i. Controls are very easy to maneuver and reviewing photos with the touch screen “swipe” is great.
