A GREAT price for a full frame sensor! I am very happy with this camera, although it doesn’t have some features that more expensive cameras have, this camera delivers amazing quality photos. There is nothing else that can beat this camera at this price point. You won’t be buying this for the video features, but if it’s great photos that you want, you are buying this camera.

Camera has been amazing for the year I’ve had it. No flaws and hasn’t let me down once! Incredibly capable and more than what you need for a beginner. I thought I was an intermediate shooter and that this camera would hold me back, but it was quite the opposite. The RP helped me grow my skills more and use just one camera for all my needs. For the price point the camera is beyond perfect and meets every need.

I did A LOT of research before buying this camera. Looking to turn my hobby into a career without investing $6000 in a new camera body, and this is where I landed. The good: So far, everything is as expected. The body is a nice size for a smaller person like myself. It’s light and easy to hold for an extended period of time. This camera is full frame and lowlight capable, which makes it a great fit for portraits. The kit lens is actually decent, although I’ve also invested in the nifty fifty and prefer that immensely. This is incredibly user friendly, especially where the exposure triangle is concerned. If you are new to photography, this is an exceptional tool to begin with. The bad: Whether it’s weather sealed or not is debatable- I’ve read yes and no and am too nervous to venture out in snow and rain. Additionally, this is NOT a great camera for action shots. If you plan to shoot sporting events or anything in motion, keep looking. Most frustrating for me thus far: the user guide sucks. It doesn’t detail how to transfer photos, and isn’t much help as far as actual use is concerned. Luckily, there are an ample number of tutorials on YouTube that have made it a piece of cake to work with. Regardless of the bad, this is a great bang for your buck. Nice quality, very easy to use, and tons of lens options. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get started with a professional camera.

New to photography and, right out of the box, this camera was easy to use. Pictures are sharp and crisp. Bought for travel and after our first trip, packed easily and was very lightweight. I have so much more to learn but, very happy so far.

This camera is a big leap from my Nikon D80, in terms of technology and ease of use. Stellar bang-for-buck if you're looking for a full size sensor. The battery life is short though, get at least one spare to bring with you.

As an amateur photographer with a beginner understanding of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, this is a great camera. I've had it for about 2 months and really enjoy taking photos with it. When I can get the settings right, the photos turn out great with a lot of detail. I will say that if you're looking into getting this camera, just know that it specializes in photography and not videography. The auto focus when filming is not the best. That being said, I love all the mechanical features that are easy and quick to adjust settings in the moment. While it is a bit pricier, I think this camera does what it is good at really well and will definitely excite anyone looking into trying photography at a pre-professional level. I've attached some example photos I've taken with the camera:

Love this camera. After doing research this was definitely the best rated for 1st time photographers! Very nice picture quality and also very easy to use. Definitely recommend. I opted to buying from Best Buy rather than cannon because of the geek squad protection I got.

So far, this camera delivers on all of its promises. Our photos already look more lively, professional and compelling. The automatic settings and scene settings are both terrific for beginners. The only (small) drawback is that it's something of a power hog. Make sure you have an extra battery pack on hand, especially shooting sports/action bursts.

This camera is my first full frame mirrorless. After playing around with DSLR for a couple years I finally made the jump and will never look back after shooting with this camera. The dual pixel autofocus in tandem with the touch focus make for easy and effective focusing. the ONLY downside is that this camera has an RF lens mount so you will have to buy and adaptor if you plan on using EF lenses. Im using the kit 24-105 RF lens and its very versatile and gets the job done for most cases.

Great Camera, Absoluely love the picture quality and Ease of use. as well as the ability to customize the buttons to the max. Very big upgrade from my eos T6. I was getting good quality pictures out of my old DSLR that I felt with an upgrade to a mirrorless full frame I could only get better and I surely did and i'm happy with the quality of my pictures. Definetly worth the upgrade.

This camera has been my main camera for about 5-6 months now. I'm in no way a professional photographer but I love the images that this camera can produce. It won't recover shadows and highlights like a $3500 R5 but if you compose your photos properly beforehand you can end up with some stunning images.
