Purchased as a general use printer for a small office. Works great, very easy to use!

We print a lot of black and white stuff: blogs, crossword puzzles, etc and this was the perfect printer for our needs.

If you are looking for a not expensive all in one printer, this is the one for you.

Purchase for my wife. Was simple to hook up and easy to use. No problems at all. I use it with our Mac.

Canon printer was one of the best in its class. This machine prints real good and the toner is affordable.

I have owned this printer for about a year, and haven't had any trouble with it. It is much more economical than my inkjet printer- the toner cartridge that the unit comes with lasts quite a long time. Initially, I had trouble getting my computer to recognize it, but I called the support number from the manual, talked to a real live person (believe it or not), and he had it connected for me in minutes.

I like the printer but setup was difficult. The setup cd was empty. I went on Canon website and downloaded the driver. Canon downloaded drivers for several models and defaulted to the wrong model even tho I gave the right one. I finally figured that out. Printing works but I cannot scan from computer, still says I am not connected. Also printer still will not accept my internet password so cannot remotely print. I have been thru several printers and never had this difficulty setting up.

Seriously , she was spending God knows how much on new ink each time she wanted to print something. Now she has toner that won't dry up and with 2,500 page life, I doubt she'll will ever need to change it. Too bad I said that out loud to her. We both laughed, She's in her 80's. I have purchased at least 3 of these and 3 of the ones that have paper feeder for customer's, all work like they should.

It's a very nice printer for the price. i do wish I had bought a printer that prints on both side of the page though

I bought this printer hoping to improve my ability to print black and white documents cheaper than ink jet printers but I have ran into several problems in just the first few weeks: 1) Canon does not really support this product. If you search for the MF230 series on their site the site suggests that you must be looking for something else. 2) It is a bit of a pain to contact their customer support. 3) The printer does NOT let you print on both sides of the paper, even though the driver appears to offer that option. If you delve deeply into printer setup you can find an option to enable two sided printing, but it doesn't work. I am using Windows 10 as my OS. 4) If you want to print a document that is in color, you really need to convert the document itself to all black and white first, else the colored stuff will appear very dim. Not in the preview, just in the actual print. I am very disappointed in this printer, and very disappointed in the lack of, and difficulty of, getting support from Canon. I will avoid Canon in the future.

This is a great entry printer to do any basic job around the home or office.

I purchased this printer at a great deal. It does what I need it to do. the reason I did give this printer five stars is because the printer does not come with an actual 200-500 sheet toner cartridge. it has a cartridge that has only ten percent left, so a new cartridge is needed almost immediately.
