I'm very happy with this Canon printer so far - ease of setup/use was excellent, and connection has been strong. In the few weeks I've had it the printer has seemed to stop responding and lose wireless connection once, and had to be fully rebooted - but otherwise great! Printing from a phone is incredibly quick & convenient.

I've been a loyal Brother printer customer, but made the switch to this printer because I liked my Canon scanner and software and I thought... hey, why not have an all-in-one to clean up the printer/scanner/fax clutter that I had. It was a good choice for me. This printer prints much faster than my older brother 2170 and it does not have loud fan like my older printer. It's "on" to print, then goes asleep silently. Also, the built in duplexer makes it very easy to print double sided (no feeding the paper back in manually like my old printer. So, it's a highly recommend on this one.

The printer has seen steady usage for approx 2 months. So far, have used print/copier & fax; Will try scanning soon. Excellent quality. * Love 2-sided printing; no more searching for extra pages! Opted for Monochrome to save on expenses. Search for deals! Standby mode / Fax glitches required Canon Customer Service assistance to determine the best way to resolve. Assistance varied from very thoughtful to adequate. Required 2 calls for inter-related issues. As the owner of several HP printers, I'm so glad I switched to Canon!

My Mom and Dad don't take to computers and technology too well. But after My Brother set it up for Our Parents, they found it easy to use.

Love it , its fast copying ,easy to set up.I don't need color ink ,expensive.Had a hp all in one copier that was half the cost of the canon,it was so slow,should have bought the canon the first time and spent the extra money ,well worth it. Have only had a month, mabye 100 cpies so far .

Really like the speed of printing and copying. Scanning is problematic. Sometimes the scanner won't recognize/find the computer.

Great quality and very fast printer. Only two minor drawbacks are the size (rather large) and the auto connect wi-fi connection did not work (had to connect manually).

Had issues getting it hooked up to internet. Seems to work very well once I get it on the internet. Would not respond one so I turned it off then on and it responded. Prints fast so I am happy with my purchase.

1. Frequently disconnects from my 2 computers because an apparent IP conflict. No other connected devices have a problem. 2. Terrible interface on the machine. Finding common settings are difficult and not intuitive. Specifically, scanning to an email address is incredibly difficult. 3. Utility software is nearly impossible to find on canon website and wouldn't install on my computer. It seems to be impossible to upload contacts to the machine for scanning to email. 4.

This printer was listed as one of the best for the previous year. It was very easy to set up in wireless mode, and has not dropped its connection, as others I have tried have. However, after cleaning the drum and printing multiple test pages, a ghosting of ink remains on the paper whenever I print. I hope this clears up after more use, but as of now it is a bit of a disappointment.

Does everything it should but when I try to do 2 sided scanning, it regularly jams. It also defaults to 2 sided printing too often.

This printer is for my 82 year old mom that did not need color pages. It hit the mark on ease of use and simplicity to set up.

I replaced my home printer with this printer. It has effectively reduced the cost per page and runs perfectly. I would never purchase an inkjet ever again.

A VERY GREAT FAST EFFICIENT PRINTER FOR A GOOD PRICE

This is a well built, feature packed SOHO machine.

This printer is great. I upgraded to this printer from an inkjet one and I will never use inkjet again. This printer is easy to set up and prints very fast. Cartridges are reasonably priced too.

Don't get this printer, it's been a headache since day 1! I really should have returned it. Specifically: 1. Most printouts appear faded, even without any type of toner-saving setting applied. 2. For no apparent reason, sometimes the printer loses connection with both of my PCs even though there is no wireless network issue, and it must be re-installed on both. 3. Installing is a major hassle. It takes multiple attempts to find it using the Windows 10 wizard. 4. The Canon Office Printer utility may not work on Windows 10. 5. The printer's utility software is surprsingly hard to to find on Canon's website 6. No advanced functionality (such as default scan settings, address book) can be configured on your PC. It has to be done on the keypad of the device, like a cellphone from 2002.

- Frequently disconnects from wifi with an error telling me "IP address has changed" - Finding a driver on Canon's website is incredibly difficult - No clear way to set up the address book on the computer. Instead, you have to use the pathetic keypad on the device - Confusing UI on the device. Difficult to find basic things like connection status.
