Very nice printer and tech support was great and easy to get through to. Sadly, it shouldn't have been necessary to call. I am fairly tech savvy and spent several hours trying to properly set up and install this printer before calling.
The installation instructions were written so poorly that I gave up. Canon could save millions of $ on tech support if they wrote better instructions, both online and in the manual.
Unless you install printers regularly, take my advice and just call them first to walk you through set-up and installation.

Super frustrating. This machine only prints double sided, no matter what the settings say you can’t fix it. Stay away from this one!

I purchased this product about 10 months ago because my Brother printer/scanner stopped supporting updated Apple software. I decided on this product based on the reviews that I read and the value. If you're looking for a product that will simply print wirelessly, it's not a bad product. But if you want to scan, look for something else. Every time I want to scan something wirelessly I have to restart the printer multiple times and restart my computer. Most of the time it will say can't find computer or there's been an error scanning. I want to be clear that no other items in my house have issues connecting to the network, so it's not a router issue.
Canon tech support for this item is only available 10am to 5pm M-F. Even when you try calling, you can't get through as they're experiencing longer than expect wait times. If you work for a living, good luck! Several times when I've actually gotten the product to scan, the detail in the image is terrible. This product will not connect to a 5GHZ network, make sure you have 2.4GHZ available or connect via hardwire.
Save yourself the stress of dealing with a product that doesn't work and buy something else. Preferably not a Canon!
