    This has proven to be a great buy. We have not had any problems and it’s still going!! Gets a lot of use.

    Extremely difficult to set up. Printer will usually not show up on the network. I can't remember what in the world I did to make it show up for other devices, have serious difficulty getting other computers to see it on the network. PLUS, I discounted this when buying it, but it goes to sleep QUICKLY and then there's no using it without PHYSICALLY walking over to the printer and waking it up. Even on those computers that were lucky enough to see it on the network, it will not print or scan from sleep. All the support articles talk about the need to "set up a static IP" which, I'm sorry, I can't figure out. It should just WORK for NORMAL PEOPLE without more than modest IT background. Also, we have multiple routers on the Wifi, not sure that could work if other devices grab the other router. Overall, it looks and feels quite nice but it's a big paperweight since the connectivity is so difficult, I was on the fence about returning it but then time to return ran out. Will have to get rid of it given iffy connectivity.

    menu buttons are a little touchy but all and all this is a great printer! We do high volume printing and this does the job.

    Buy at your own risk. I bought this printer in January and have had nothing but problems with it. Sometimes it would take 5 or 10 minutes for it to print. Frequently when scanning it would say "printer not connected". I had to restart everything after just 4 scans. Multiple calls to customer service I finally bought a brother color laser printer and it works like a champ! I have all Canon camera products and never had any issues. I have had multiple Canon photo printers with no issues either. Could be this one is a lemon? I see others are having the same sort of problems and they are all saying it is software issues. I have a new Mac also and nobody can seem to figure out what the problem is. Also, neither Canon nor Best But will refund me. It's been a lemon right out of the box. Not fair in my eyes.
