Customers are saying

Customers regard the imageCLASS MF455dw as a reliable printer with excellent print quality and ease of use, praising its straightforward setup and reasonable price. However, some users experienced challenges with the software and scanner functionality, while others found the printer to be larger and noisier than anticipated. The fax functionality was also a positive feature for many.

Scanner tilts pages to the right about 1-5 degrees everytime. Canon says there is no fix it must be returned. Its too bulky to repackage and haul back so Im stuck with it.

First time I've ever bought a horrible printer.

Would not work. Not with wifi and not with USB. Had 3 remote techs try to make it work with my pc. The first two techs got it to work but it stopped after each of those attempts after a very short time. The next morning the third tech worked longer and couldn't get it to do anything. So day after I purchased it, I returned it. The online tech service was good. Very easy to contact and get help with the membership. I've never had any trouble with a printer before. I've always easily connected them to the printer easily. Even wifi. Worst purchase I've made in awhile.

    Not recognized as an AirPrinter

When printer is in sleep mode (which is almost always) it is not recognized as a AirPrinter on any Apple device. On the canon support website, this is acknowledged, but there is no fix. Therefore, I have to go to the printer in another room in the house, activate it from sleep mode and immediately print my document. I thought this was no big deal at first, but now I realize it is a deal breaker for me.

Prints and copies fine, but scans poorly. Scanned images are lopsided and the paper is torn. Cleaning and adjusting the paper feeder didn't help at all. I had to return it. Very disappointed.

Do not buy this printer. It never stays online or communicates with my Mac. I spent hours on the phone with tech support through Canon without any luck or success. It is an enormous hunk of plastic junk. Avoid at all costs.

It turned out to be a real lemon. It prints, however, configuring any other function such as scanning and faxing became a real chore. I never got it done. I was never able to get this machine to scan to folders. I ended up going back to my old brother copier.

    Awesome black and white printer/scanner.

Great black and white scanner/printer! Was very, very, easy to setup. Compared to normal inkjet printers, prints very fast. Has a large footprint but knew this prior to ordering. Does have an annoying beep when job is complete, but was aware of this also. Overall i give it 5 out of 5 stars. Was delivered next day for free and came with a toner cartridge and all needed cables. Able to quickly connect to wifi. Still havent read the manual so probably many features i am forgetting or unaware of to highlight. Was just happy to be up and running in less than 5 minutes after unpacking and setting up in office.

Modern device learning curve but nice machine

I have not had this machine long and am still trying to learn to use it. It replaces an 11-year-old multi-function printer, which was much less complicated to use. I have been able to print on letter size paper, scan, copy, and fax with it, but have not figured out how to print on legal size paper. I'm sure it will be fine when I learn the proper steps. I consider it a nice machine for the price, especially since it was marked down $100.
