Hardware appears to be very good. Fast scanning through auto feeder works well. Good quality. Software is overly complex and difficult to use. Ended up using third party apps to control such as Adobe Acrobat to handle scanning. The good news is that Adobe was easy to connect to printer/scanner.

I bought a Smart HP printer, scanner, and copy machine unable to use it properly. Both of these devices were returned to the different stores. My sister has been similar to Canon over several years and highly recommended so get one but different model # for great pricing, I bought it from Best Buy plus one extra machine as a gift to family members. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something affordable, reliable, and a great product should give it a try.

One of very few "all in one" laserjets that includes a fax modem and support for Ethernet. Important to realize that although it can be connected via Ethernet with a wired network or it can be connected with a wireless connection, this machine cannot connect to both wired and wireless LANs at the same time. During the setup one needs to decide whether to have the printer on a LAN and use a wireless router for access or to have it configured for a wireless connection and not accessible via the network or LAN.

Excellent printer, this is exactly what I need. Also, it was in stock which made the decision on the purchase a no brainer. I would highly recommend this printer.

Set up was rather easy and it is a fast printer...the only issue I had was that it gives me constant print errors but when I push the button it prints with no problem...

Its prints super fast and very clear. I recommend for those who do wireless is works seamlessly over wifi straight from your phone.

It works fast and great. However, it is so difficult to set up. In fact, I have not yet been able to set it up to scan directly to my email. Also, I would like to increase the DPI for scanning but I am unable to find the setting - it is not available on the printer or via online.

I bought the 451 version of this from Best Buy. Seems they haven't gotten any of the issues addressed according to the other reviews. Here's my review: Never seen a printer like this. Every time I go to print, I have to go walk across the room to touch the touch screen and wake it up. It doesn't matter setting the sleep times to two hours, if it sleeps a print job refuses to wake it up. Mac OS, PC, iOS devices. Same on all of them. Printer keeps wanting me to select the tray and paper type. The current software shows a tray 1 and a tray 2. There is only ONE tray on this. There is a manual feed above it that you have to open up to feed. The printer is actually seeing itself and having two auto trays. I know there's a model that has this, so it seems to me they have the wrong firmware in this. I have to go and tell it what tray and paper type to print, right along with waking it up, every time I print if it's gone to sleep. INSANE. I've tried all the things I can find online to fix the ridiculous sleep thing. There is nothing that solves it, not setting Static IP, not reinstalling the software, not resetting the entire printer. The whole FOUR SCREENS of menus is completely ridiculous. Talk about overkill complication. I have a TR8600 Canon inkjet sitting right next to this, and it has none of these issues, it does what I tell it to when I tell it to. We have two Canon D570 laster printers in the family, and they have NONE of these issues. What's with the archaic flip-phone texting-type menu for entering your Wifi info too? Wow. Please hire some people who know how to create a menu. Really, this kind of menu for setting up your Wifi is literally from the late 90's!! Again, do not buy this. The one I have has 200 pages on it, hardly anything for a supposed small-office class printer. I'm gonna try to get rid of it really cheap or give it away to someone who doesn't care if they have to get up and cross the room to start a print job, or have it right next to them where it doesn't matter. The printer is completely unacceptable trash to even sell to the public.

This Canon multi function office print scanner fax works fantastic! Much faster and with great control panel compared to the slightly cheaper units we have bought in the past.
