Printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this printer. We bought it when our family started working from home/ attending school online. Ink jet printers didn’t work for us, because we don’t typically print a lot and the ink dried out. This printer works with iPads and phones. It is one of the best purchases we’ve made.

Toner Cartridges were inadequate
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew when I purchased the printer that the color cartridges were starter units, but the black was supposed to be a standard cartridge. All of them were expended within two months with light use. The Canon website indicates a standard black cartridge is supposed to provide 2,300 pages. I don't think we got 200. Be prepared to spend much more on cartridges soon after purchasing this printer.

Good product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is a good product, not for beginners. Be prepared to seek assistance in set up. Directions are not comprehensive, the best set up information I found was from YouTube.

Excellent color printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer lives up to the advertisements. It is a full-function color laser with fax. Screen is intuitive and installation was simple and flawless. Color pictures aren’t as good as inkjet but very good. Still trying to figure out how to print onto 4x6 photo paper. Paper tray centers paper but printer prints from side and missed paper.

Do not buy so many better options!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is terrible paper jams all the time. Don’t recommend buying this printer whatsoever it’s bulky and the software is super clunky first time buying Canaan and seems like it’s gonna be the last time. The worst part about it is it’s two days after the 30 day limit so I can’t even return it yikes!

Never buy this
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are thinking about buying a printer/scanner combo for higher volume use, I would never buy this one again. I've had terrible experiences almost everyday using this for small business functions. Constant errors and the user interface is incredibly difficult. Best Buy should stop carrying this model.

Terrible hardware and even worse software
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a career IT professional, and this is easily one of the worst products I've been unfortunate enough to encounter. Where in the world do I start? 1. Installation. If you're not an IT professional, I would not even attempt trying to install and setup the imageCLASS MF743Cdw. The manual is literally 800 pages long. There is absolutely no sensible and logical progression on how to install, configure, and set up the printer. You have to jump around from one section to another constantly. 2. Hardware. The document feeder is absolute trash. It feeds pages in crooked and jams regularly. I've observed this behavior on four different brand new Canon printers now. As for the touchscreen: it's dim, confusing to press on the correct icon or arrow, and unintuitive. Wireless connectivity is terribly slow. Scanning is even slower than the WiFi. 3. Software. Have mercy, what an end-to-end 100% mess. The MF Scan Utility is utter junk and seldom works. To configure the printer, you have to remotely access a user interface straight out of 1997 via your web browser. The software that runs the touch panel is outdated, clunky, and lacks any and all adherence to modern user interface design. 4. Apple / macOS. If you're a Windows user, this particular Canon is barely usable at the best of times. It gets much worse if you're on a Mac. 5. Support. Canon's knowledge base is RIDDLED with endless "hacky" fixes for their junk products and software. I found no less than ten instances where this printer had clumsy workarounds to problems that Canon knows about and hasn't fixed. I checked some of their other "business-class" products, and they were all in the same boat. Out of curiosity, I decided to call their technical support and was on hold for about 30 minutes when I finally reached an overseas rep who was beyond useless and couldn't address any of the issues we were having. The best part about the ordeal was taking this lemon back to Best Buy for a refund. To conclude...I have only a small selection of technology brands that are on my "NEVER BUY" list, and Canon just jumped to the very top. I've dealt with tons of Canon's products over the years and the result is always the same: disaster at every turn. They simply have not improved in any measurable way in over a decade. Avoid Canon at all costs. I recommend Brother or Epson.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do love the quality on this printer but I really dislike how it sometimes doesn't connect to my laptop and takes long to print one thing so I have to connect it from my phone when it takes too long.

NOT what it is cracked up to be
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, very difficult to set up and not very intuitive. I now have to shut it off and restart every time I want to print otherwise my computers can not find the printer. Geek squad has come out twice and set it up. It worked for a day after they left and then couldn't be found. Second geek Squad person said it must be a defective printer. I would not buy this again. Extremely disappointed. +

Home office all in one laser printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just the type of machine that I needed for my home office. Having to work from home, I needed a machine that is dependable for faxing and receiving faxes, copying, printing etc., and I have not been let down yet.
