    Frustrating product

Love the quality, touchscreen menu and multi-functionality, but that's it. We have it connected wirelessly through the WiFi. More times than not the computers say "Printer not connected" so I have to remove the printer from the choices and re-install it. Then it works. Problem #2 is print jobs are often interrupted with an error code indicating to load paper, even though there's plenty in the tray. Once the tray is opened and re-inserted it works. Problem #3 has to do with what I assume is limited memory. My son likes to print his Google docs which often have uncommon fonts. These were no problem on the Epson inkjet we had, but won't go through on the Canon laser. The job shows up, spins for a while and then vaporizes. I've had to educate him (he's autistic) loonily use common fonts like Arial or Calibri. Then it works. All this is very frustrating especially for the money spent vs. an inkjet. Oh yeah, good luck figuring out how to actually speak to a help desk. No where can that information be found. Not in the quick start guide or the manual, which is only accessible electronically.

The printer has met my expectations. The store staff were very helpful in showing me the printer and explaining its functions. When it became necessary to swap out the printer for another model, they were very helpful with making that transition quick and painless.

Took some getting use to. Not enough instructions to get started for a beginner. I missed a few faxes. Once I found all settings it works great.

Love my printer with many features! We finally decided to spend more on a toner printer rather than an inkjet printer. Tired of having to replace ink cartridges or having them dry up.

Instructions for set up were incorrect had to call support who informed me the company sent the incorrect disk to properly install. With the help of the the support desk we were able to complete the set up after an hour long process.

I had a small issue with the USB drive scanning, but worked through it. I prefer a 500-sheet paper capacity, but 250 is sufficient.

Great Color Laser that handles just about everything but heavy card stock. Excellent photo repos and very crisp text. A little hard to figure some things out but, it does the job and we'll see how long it lasts...

One of the best machine for the money. I gave it a 5 for overall performance and functionality. The connection from the scanner to the desktop files was not easy. I still have not been able to figure it out.

Just like you all reading the reviews, I did the same. There's a mixed bag of good and bad out there when it comes to this unit. As an IT person (life and career), this has been the WORST printer I've ever purchased. Configuration is very archaic and complex, plus the ease of use is horrendous. I am a person that likes to use the "scan from printer to e-mail address" function quite a bit. I had to customize this and make a special button because the original B/W preset scan came out horrible. Speaking of horrible, the print quality was absolutely absurd. The printer does not render colors correctly at all. Also as a new realtor, I often print out listings (in color) for my clients. They looked like a kid sketched them; or that you were too cheap and purchased subpar cartridges. I reinstalled cartridges, etc. and the print quality was absolutely horrible. This was supposed to replace two inkjets that I have in my office (or lesser the burden) but I took it back after 1.5 week of trying to deal with it. After careful research, I purchased a Brother MFC-L8900CDW and although it was about $100 more, I am infinitely happier to say the least. If this thing is riding in your vehicle right now as we speak, do yourself a favor (and save gas) by turning around and taking it back.

I was mislead by the photo on the website that showed the additional tray and didn't specify. we are pleased with the copier Canon. to scan it has to be plugged to a computer. I like it much better than the HP we had previously. software for MacOS not included.

This is our second ImageClass Laser all-in-one. We upgraded to this 'newer' version in 12/2020 because the previous model wasn't compatible with Apple air print. The 743Cdw met that need. We had it for 4 years before replacing, gave it to a friend and they are still using it 4 years later. Not too shabby... We bought this newer version, and we're not doing great with it. Here's what I'll say: PROS: Crisp print Easy to use Print capability Scan capability CONS: Expensive toner replacement ITB has failed one year out of warranty Both of these cons are HUGE for consideration and I'll tell you why. The printer itself cost $400+ and comes with starter cartridges. To replace all four of those cartridges costs just as much as a new printer. They don't last long. We tried generic and failed on multiple occasions with different manufacturers. They made a mess of the machine and they ran out quickly so we spent just as much to replace generic cartridges twice instead of buying authentic. Just buy Canon brand and save yourself the frustration and money, trust me. The second reason is the ITB (a part within the machine) costs $350+ too. So now we have $300+ in cartridges that will last longer than the printer because we'll need to buy a new printer. At this point, why buy the part for as much as the printer costs to replace?? END OF THE DAY: The printer is awesome, but the cost of maintenance is ridiculous. Is this a business expense and you have money to waste once a year on cartridges? Maybe this is for you. We use it for home use, not a huge load on the machine. Maybe a dozen or two pages a week? I think we may be finding another company to purchase but for now we're riding out this one until it dies completely.
