Purchased this printer for home use to replace an old All in One (Pixma 922). It's a very big printer so be prepared for that. It's an absolute beast with BW output speed of 55 PPM. Color prints are excellent. The main problems home users will have will be figuring out how to configure duplex scanning and navigate the printer menu to get the settings right. Manual needs improvement because it omits duplex scanning configuration information. Scan settings are configured from the computer's Canon MF scan utility that you have to download and install which isn't included in the recommended driver. Turn home firework off while configuring. Must set a one UI PIN to remote access the printer from the computer. No problems connecting to WIFI access point. Updates firmware remotely. Fast power on. Great printer. Recommended to Canon that they add page auto-alignment for PDFs to correct misaligned source documents and allow duplex scan setting control from the printer. Tom's guide was right, right now this is the best color laser printer for home offices.

I read a review that this is a beast, but I did not pay attention. I went to pick it up from the store, and I wish I had paid attention! it barely fit in my SUV trunk! I carried it up with a dolley, and I could not believe what I bought. HUGE! however, it looks great, and it works amazingly nice. Fast, quite silent for what it does, it does everything!!! I recommend it to everyone, just make some space.

I haven't used all the features yet but it seems to be a good quality machine. The price is good for what it does. The most frustrating part is trying to set up the address book and scan to features. I consider myself pretty tech smart but trying to set up some features is beyond my understanding. I've tried following the tutorials but haven't been able to make some things work. A call to tech support reported that there was a 3 hour wait. Not gonna happen. I'll keep plugging away at it and hopefully get it figured out. Other than that, the print and scan quality seem very good.

Good printer. Quiet and great clear copies. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the touchpad is difficult as It’s not very sensitive to touch. It takes a lot of pressure on buttons to get them to function

I purchased this printer both because I needed a new home printer and in anticipation of COVID19 quarantines, so I wanted a fast, high-quality all-in-one to be able to handle work-related printing and scanning from home (I commonly have to print 20-100 page documents for review). This meets my needs and expectations, and I am glad I went with this all-in-one. I definitely recommend it to others.

The Canon is a great printer and was fairly easy to set up. As some reviews have stated it is heavy. The color is not as good as my previous ink jet but the reviews had stated so it did not come as a surprise.

Got this to replace an 8 year old Canon laser printer. I very happy with it. I use it at home for general printing and scanning of various documents. Print quality is very good. Color accuracy is not the best, but I'm not using it for printing graphics and photos, and it's perfectly fine for my use. Printer speed (PPM) is great for both color and mono. Startup and time to print the first page is also very good. Scanning documents directly to a folder on my laptop works perfectly. Printing from manual feed tray work well, including the printing of envelopes and heavy stock. The touch screen control panel is great. So much better to use than the regular button controls on my last printer. Toner cartridges are easy to change and the auto adjustment and cleaning features work well and are easy to use. I've used other brands of laser printers like Brother and Xerox before. So far I like Canon the best. For me, Canon has been the most reliable and issue free printer.

I purchased this unit to replace an all in one inkjet that was a constant printhead clogging failure. I decided to go with a color laser this time but I still need the scanner/fax/copy functions. So first of all, this is a huge printer for a home environment. Make sure you look at the dimensions and confirm you have the space. If you do, this thing is amazing. It is loaded with features that rival copy machines that costs 10X as much. I am thoroughly impressed with the features and abilities of this machine. I cant possible list them all but copying and sending via email right from the printer is a huge plus for me. However, it cant all be positive....... I have seen quite a few reviews mention this and I have experienced it as well..... some prints are really light on the black print. It isnt all of them, but some are just way too light. The same exact page, printed on a mono black laser are perfectly legible, but on this machine, at standard settings, nearly unreadable. There are some tips posted to try and correct it, but none have worked for me. So ....... althought this thing is amazing, at the end of the day it needs to be a printer and that is the one area I cannot say it does a great job and the reason for my average rating.

With doing school and work from home now, I needed something that had the ability to print faster and in color, while not using up so much ink... This printer is awesome! Also, the scan feature of being able to do the feed or flat top is awesome!! It is bigger than I anticipated, however... I'm all good with that!

overall a good printer. our old Brother printer would default to the front manual feed when you pull it down to use, however this Canon does not default to the front manual feed when you flip down the front panel. otherwise I would give this a 5 star rating. This printer also has many many settings you can set from the touch panel, but it is easier to set defaults from your pc. This is definitely a small office printer instead of a simpler home printer. Scanning to PC or Email was seamless. Default toner was too dark for us but finding a setting we liked was difficult.
