The Canon IVY Cliq+ combines taking a picture and printing it. Yes, a two in one with the size a little bigger than a credit card. The Canon IVY Cliq+ lets you take your pictures and print anywhere. No need to have to have a separate printer. This does make the Canon IVY Cliq+ a sturdy weight in a small size. A lot of tech is housed in the Cliq+ including easy load Zink film. The Cliq+ is great at selfies and also has a very striking high tech look to it. I had the sapphire blue and it was stunning. • I first downloaded the Canon mini printer app. This app is very intuitive to what you want to do with the Cliq+ and Bluetooth. While I was downloading the app, I had the Canon IVY Cliq+ charging. It took no time at all to get the electric juice so I could take and print pictures and the Bluetooth connected. • The film is loaded in the back of the Cliq+ after easily removing a panel. The film of choice is the Canon Zink paper. Zink paper has all the ink you need to print colorful and bright picture on that Zink paper. It is great not having to carry around ink for the pictures. • 2”x 3” Zink paper is the only size the Cliq+ will take and is loaded with those dimensions in the back panel. It is great tech to have paper that includes the ink. One important this to note: Put the blue card facing down and the Zink paper facing up. The blue card sets up the printer and cleans it heads. • I was able to print 3 pictures before the battery got low. I also took several pictures as a point and shoot camera too. It has a wide angle lens in a 8MP image sensor. I didn’t expect the Cliq+ to work so well with just taking pictures, then printing them. The optical viewfinder is clear and prints pretty much what you see. Some of other features on the Cliq+ camera include a built in flash, autofocus, timer, auto exposure making it more than just a printer, it is a great camera as well. Pictures came out clear with great color saturation and sharp definition. And of course the pictures are stickers when you pull off the back! • One other unique feature is the Cliq+ you can print from your smartphone via Bluetooth from the Canon mini print app. I had several old pictures on my phone for a while that I thought would make a great picture. I was able to print effortlessly from my smartphone to the Canon IVY Cliq+. I posted the picture with the guitars that I printed. It was a bit bright in the room but thought the picture came out well (the picture in real life looks better). The fruit picture was point and click. That picture printed out nice too. • Bluetooth also allows you to customize your pictures, with borders, symbols, texts and more. This is the kind of fun you can have hanging out with your friends , parties or events. It is great to have these options on such a simple camera. Your smartphone shows what options you have added to a picture and helps you select the picture you want. • For selfies the Cliq+ has a ring around the lens (8-LED) that enhances the brightness for these kinds of pictures. There is also a 2” selfie mirror on the lens that guides you that makes a real difference in the placement of the picture. • You can take about 25 pictures on a single charge (stored on a mircoSD card slot on the Cliq+), but I didn’t quite take that many. I took about 10 pics and printed 3 of them. Zink paper leaves no finger print and a glossy finish. • If you need space on your Cliq+ you can insert a microSD card in the provided spot. Save your pictures and then print them later. Another great enhancement for the Canon IVY Cliq+. • There are only a few buttons on the Canon IVY Cliq+. They tell you when the camera is printing, after a picture is taken and the variety of option in the look of the picture. These are pretty self explanatory but a quick read card in the box gives you information on what to do and how easy the Cliq+ works. • The only thing that limits the Canon IVY Cliq+ is the battery life. I believe it does pretty well with printing 3 pictures or 25 point and shoot. But it won’t take long to accomplish that, so it is always good to charge it from the mini USB to USB cable whenever it’s handy. I really am enjoying this Canon IVY Cliq+. It is packed with tons of features and pretty amazing picture quality. The biggest surprise for me was the point and shoot. It surpassed my expectations and the pictures printed out very well. The printer inside the Cliq+ was excellent and quickly printed out pictures. The Canon IVY Cliq+ is a great new Tech product that combines printing, shooting pictures with a variety of options.

My ten year old loves her new camera. It prints right from the cameras itself. The color is pretty. Perfect for a young girl or boy that likes to take pictures.

I love it! I use it for my film journal and it’s so convenient. So light I get scared of dropping it. The app is really easy to use. Overall one of the best purchases ever.

The Canon Ivy Cliq+ is the first instant camera I’ve owned since the 90s; it’s also the first digital version of such a device I’ve used, so I was really interested to see how the quality would stack up versus its retro SLR counterpart. Let’s start off with what I liked about the Ivy Cliq+, namely its compact form factor, simplicity, and ease of use. The camera is basically point-and-shoot, with no zoom or focus controls, no advanced camera settings, nor involved setup. The ring light/flash are set by a physical toggle switch next to the power button, and your only other setting is the photo size: a 2x2 inch square or full 2x3 inch print. After you load in the ZINK paper, charge it up, and power it on, you’re ready to take snaps and have them print instantly. If you want to save your digital images for re-printing or editing later, just load a microSD card up to 256GB and your images will be saved automatically, and a built-in reprint button lets you reprint the last photo taken for instant duplicates to share with friends and family. However, because the unit has no LCD, you cannot review your photos beforehand nor edit them on camera prior to printing. Also, the only way to frame your shot is via the glass viewfinder, or using the 2 inch silver “selfie mirror” situated around the lens when taking selfies. In case you’re wondering, there’s no cancel button if you mess up a shot. So like the instant cameras of yesteryear, there are no take-backsies or do-overs. Once you press that shutter button, you’re committed to getting a print of whatever is captured. The situation is a little bit different if you pair your smartphone via Bluetooth to the Cliq+. When you do this, the camera basically acts as a mobile Bluetooth printer, allowing you to take photos with your smartphone’s camera which, if it’s a contemporary flagship phone, probably has better resolution and quality than the 8MP sensor in the Cliq+ or you can select photos from your device and various online storage and social media sources like Facebook, Google Photos, Drop box, and Instagram (requires you to sign in and connect to those accounts). The app allows you to add text, stickers and borders, or draw on the photos before printing them; you can also apply AR effects and masks when taking photos like those found on Snapchat. If you like your new creation, you can save it for re-printing or sharing later on social media, but it doesn’t do this by default, you have to explicitly hit the save icon. You can also use your phone as a remote control for the camera over Bluetooth, but again, it won’t display what the camera “sees” and once you click the shutter the printer activates instantly. Unless your phone doesn’t have Bluetooth or the camera isn’t as good as the one in the Cliq+, it’s almost always a better option to simply use the camera as just a mobile printer for your smartphone because you have more options and flexibility. In terms of photo quality, I have to say I was not super impressed. For example, I took a selfie in a dark setting with a strong source of light behind me and the contrast was terrible, so I ended up with a blurry photo of a bright white light and dark blob of everything else. There was also some amount of noise and graininess, especially in solid colors, even in well-lit conditions. That’s pretty much what I expected from this camera’s sensor, though, as it lacks all the fancy processing of a full on DSLR. It’s on par with most smartphones' front facing cameras. As for the prints themselves, overall, I found the colors to be on the cool side and slightly washed out, resulting in anemic looking skin tones and loss of saturation. That’s not to say the prints were all bad, but certainly not as true to color as I wanted. That said, the color range was decent for such a small printer that doesn’t use any ink cartridges, which I think speaks to the quality of the paper. Prints can be fairly expensive though, as the ZINK refills are not cheap. The camera only fits 10 sheets at a time, so you’ll have to reload the camera after every 10 photos. For what these prints are, a fun, fast way to share tangible photos on small format instantly, it’s a neat little gadget that produces decent enough pictures; it has a fairly wide angle lens for group selfies and is small enough to slip in a pocket, purse, or bag. I did like that each print is a sticker, which I think would be appealing to younger folks since you can peel and stick your photos/creations to notebooks, binders, and other surfaces as cute mementos. For use as an everyday camera though, it’s not great because you can’t take photos without paper loaded, meaning you’ll always end up with at least 1 print of every photo you take, whether you like it or not.

I let the camera charge which did not take long. It was pretty simple to set up. Turned on, loaded paper, took a pic and printed. The color was good with a clear defined photo. I transferred a photo the my PC via USB cable from the cameras Micro USB card (not included) I was expecting the ability to transfer photos to PC via blue tooth but could find it or it does not work with this product design. You need to be careful when picking up the camera while it is on, I accidentally snapped 4 blank photos due to the shutter button is too easy to press. You can't cancel the picture once it is pressed. You will definitely go through 10 sheets pretty fast. I did like the ability to snap a photo remotely from the phone app. ( Cliq+ model only) The fill feature is nice for selfies. You can also reprint a photo. You can also share a photo to social media. The fact that you can stick photos with the self adhesive back would make great scrap booking. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be more Blue Tooth functionality, but that is just my preference due to ,most of my connection communications are done wirelessly, not really fond of cable limitations.

I was initially excited to receive this camera. We have a newer version of a polaroid camera already, that also only has small photos. We got that one about 5 years ago. However, we stopped using it because of the high cost of the film. The Canon - IVY Cliq+ Instant Film Camera also has pretty expensive film, with it costing around .50 cents per photo. So if you're looking to take and/or print a lot of pictures, be ready to drop some $$$. That being said, the app was super easy to use and connect the camera/printer to. I was able to print photos I had saved in my phone, but you can also use several other social media apps. Now on to the quality of the photos... this was also a disappointment. The photo that I took with the camera, was fairly bright and well lit, probably due to the added lighting ring on the front. However, the photos I printed from my phone were very dark in comparison to what the photos look like in my phone. I know that the printer is small, but with the price they're charging for this thing I assumed the pic quality would be a little better. I will say the photos were decently clear with the detail, just washed out and darkened from the original. If they lower the price of not only the camera, but the film, I would say this would be a good gift for a teen, as you can peel and stick the photos to anything you like. But as it stands now, I wont be purchasing more film once we run out. The camera (we got rose gold) is very appealing to look at, and feels sleek, but its more of a novelty, IMHO.

This ivy Cliq + camera is great to take anywhere , take pictures and print them out on the spot, with this version of the ivy Cliq + you’re able to even print pictures from your mobile device throughout the Canon mini print app. Inside the box you get 10 printer paper with peel and stick back , usb cable , but for the price , it doesn’t include a micro sd card, you would have to buy it separately. The camera is fun for people that wants to make fun pictures and stick them on your fridge , but the camera only holds 10 printer paper so it’s kind of disappointing since the mini paper is not that cheap, also make sure you don’t loose the smart sheet that goes inside the camera underneath the printing paper. Another thing that’s disappointing is that the camera doesn’t have a preview screen to see your pictures before printing , so you may waste paper just taking pictures until you see the one you like after it print.

If you have the need for the immediate gratification of a small (wallet size print) this is for you. But the cost of prints is pretty significant ($0.50 each) and the quality is pretty good. But it's kind of like the dancing bear, you don't judge based on the quality of the bears dance, rather your amazed that the bears trying to dance, and is a bear! This tiny camera/printer is the dancing bear. Much as we were amazed by the instant prints of Polaroids in the 60's and 70's. This version does not use any smeary chemicals, rather the paper uses tiny crystals that change color when exposed to heat. The camera/printer holds 10 sheets of this special photo paper, which has a peel off adheasive back. Each is 2"x3", and suprisingly not easy to damage. But this digital camera is unlike most digital cameras you have used (recently), there is no way to review what pictures you've taken on it. It can only store 3 images, unless you add a SD card, in which case the card will store your images. But you really have to look at this camera more as a printer which can take a picture too. The Canon mini print app allows you to print any image on your phone, or to take a new image with your phone, it can also pull images from your FaceBook, Instagram, DropBox, iDrive or Google Photo account. So you can see why the camera is mor of a printer than a Camera. But I got it to take to a wedding, I thought it would be a lot of fun to collect photos for the bride and groom, and to pass the camera around for guests to take their own selfies. I also think that my grandson might have some fun taking pictures of his own. The camera has a special led illuminator ring for taking selfies, it should prevent red eye. the back of the camara has some texture on it, the front it very smooth. When printing the led on the top provides some entertainment by cycling throught many colors. It takes about 30s before the picture starts printing and another 20 to complete printing. The app can queue several prints while waiting for previous prints to finish, well thought out. The app also allows you to add borders, edit images, add text and "stamps" to images. It also allows you to save these editied images. A couple of things I wish they supported, if you plug the camera into your PC with the supplied cable it allows you to charge the camera, but the camera and it's media is not seen by your computer (the documentation says this should work but I could not get it to work, on multiple computers). There is no easy way to tell how much charge the camera has, their is a icon that shows the connection status to your phone, but no charging % charged status information. There is no screw hole to allow you to use the camera with a tripod. The app has a remote camera trigger, I wish it would warn you, your about to take a picture ok? The timer 3/5/10 works much better. Given the camera weight in at 7oz with paper loaded, its pretty amazing. I'm not sure how often I need a 2"x"3" photo, or how often I'll spend 50c for one, we'll see how much fun it is at a wedding, or other special events. I suspect I'm make a lot of new friends with it, just wish the paper was not so expensive (on price break as you buy more either).

I used to love Polaroid pictures when I was a kid. My dad had a couple over the years and I loved getting the instant print and watching it develop. This Canon camera is cooler, next-century update. The camera itself is pretty and has a simple form factor. It’s slim enough to put into a purse, but a little too large to put in a pocket unless your a guy with normal sized pockets. Taking a picture is literally one click, then it takes about 30 seconds for the print to come out. The print is cool in that you don’t need to use ink - it’s somehow built into the paper. The paper is about $.50 a sheet so not cheap but not too pricey. there is also an app from Canon that lets you take pictures with your phone and use the camera as a mini-printer. The pictures have a peel off back so you can stick them anywhere as well. The app also lets you add flair, like text bubbles, silly glasses etc. a la Snapchat. I’m looking forward to using it at parties and handing out actual pictures to friends - they will love it!

The Canon Ivy Cliq+ is a fun and easy to use camera that has it all: great look and design, prints instantly, saves photos to a microSD (if inserted), has a selfie mirror frame, a frame you can see through the lens to help capture more accurate shots, and can connect and print from your phone's gallery. The Ivy Cliq+ is different from other competitive instant cameras of big name manufacturers and even a few few photo printers (which you could says is the closest competitor). The instant film is easy to put in and prints quickly by either pressing the shutter or connecting your phone via bluetooth through the Canon Mini Print App, where you can edit photos on your gallery through the app and choose to print. You can add frames, insert filters, create collages, and much more. Also, the photo size can be changed between 2×2 or 2×3. The flash can be turned off, left on auto, or fill. The design of the Ivy Cliq+ is unique and very lightweight. Canon truly made this instant camera look more like a real digital camera, specially with the rechargeable battery. This is what truly distinguishes the Ivy Cliq+ from other instant cameras. I definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking to acquire a new instant camera. The looks + the easiness of the Canon Ivy Cliq+ will make anyone enjoy taking photos and printing from their phones all from one device. As compared to earlier instant cameras, this one can actually store all your snaps in a memory card to keep those instant images forever. The biggest caveat for me is that photos can come out a little washed. Details in the photos are still a little noticeable but the quality of the printed photos isn't much to brag about. Because of this, I knocked down a star. Overall though this fun and quirky camera wins me over because of the many features it contains. Should you get one? Try it; go and get one yourself!

The ivy cliq+ is a FUN camera with some great features. There are actually a lot of nice features to this camera, that I will try to comment on. The ivy cliq+ is an 8mp digital instant print camera, that uses a special type of film/paper called "Zink" papers. The cool thing about this paper is that it is very similar to the old instant film cameras. There is no additional ink or print supplies needed to buy, just the paper. The camera can hold 10 sheets at a time. The other neat feature of this paper is that it also doubles as a sticker, just peel off the backing and stick anywhere. The adhesive is actually pretty good. The prints are also smudge, water and tear resistant. I dowsed one section of one of my prints in water, and also tried to tear it. The prints never smudged, but did get left with a water mark type stain on the picture, that isn't terribly noticeable. It also took several attempts at trying to tear the print with moderate effort. only once did I actually rip the print, the other times, the paper just warped and stretched. So really a good job on how durable these prints are. So lets talk about the picture quality of the prints. The camera is 8mp, so technically you could print up to an 11x14 photo, but with the instant printer you can only print up to a 2x3 print, for obvious reasons. However if you insert a micro SD card into the camera , you can bring that card anywhere to print larger photos of your favorite pics. The pictures saved to the SD card are actually pretty good quality with detail, contrast and color. However when printed off the camera, some details are missed, I noticed a lot of prints came off looking overexposed, even though the digital image was not. The printer prints at 314x600dpi, which is pretty good for the size of the printer. I am including a picture comparison of images taken directly from the camera and printed vs images taken from my smart phone, and then printed via the cool "mini print" app, that Canon has available in the app store. The pictures on the left are directly from the camera, the left top is with the flash, left bottom is without the flash. The pictures on the right were taken with my phone (non edited) and printed directly to the ivy cliq+. Oddly enough if you look at the quality of the "digital" pictures taken by the ivy cliq+, and then the prints done from the phone to the printer, the ones from the phone look to print better. The odd thing is, that when you instant print directly from the camera, some of that quality is lost, and there is no way to fine tweak any of the related settings to fix this. Although, the camera is supposed to be more of a simple point and shoot device. Speaking of that, I have noticed that you don't need to wait completely for your print to finish before taking another picture, you just have to wait till it starts printing, about 5seconds. My biggest complaint , however, is the fact that even though you can have a memory card inserted into the camera, once you run out of paper, there is no way to take any kind of additional pictures. If they added a button to toggle the instant print feature, so pictures you don't really want printed right now, could still be saved to memory, that would be awesome. There is also no way to preview any of the pictures from the camera before they are printed (hence the "instant" feature, I guess), but still that would be nice if at least they could be viewed on your smart phone before snapping the photo to see if your shot is going to be too overexposed, or blurry. But to be fair this camera is not marketed as a high end art photography option. It's marketed as a FUN novelty camera that is great to have at parties and any type of friend gatherings. When using the "mini print" app, you can add a ton of special effects to your photos, like stickers, funny distortions, and lots more. Making your prints even more fun and memorable. Overall I think this camera is really quite enjoyable with all the features it offers, my kids love being able to stick pictures of our pets anywhere. It's really a cool thing to have, and can't wait to see what features will be added in future models!

Camera is small and fits nicely in your pocket. We took it to a wedding this past weekend and shot some photos, it was great to have photos in hand before the ceremony was even done, although the photos are very small and the colors are a little off, much like the Polaroid cameras in the days of old. Photos are either 2x2 inches or 2x3 inches (selectable) Does what we expected it to ! My only concern is this - where do I buy more paper for it? It only comes with a 10 pack and those are all gone now!.

As a longtime photographer who had his start with film I was initially excited to try the Canon Ivy Cliq+. After all, it does have a very modern and sleek beautiful design. The camera is made of a slick hard plastic. It is quite slippery and besides the textured film cover on the back, there isn't much to grip onto with this camera. I recommend the first thing you do is attach the wrist lanyard that is included with it. The big round mirror in the front acts as a selfie mirror and has framing guidelines etched into it. The white ring around it houses multiple led bulbs for a "flash" In my opinion, they aren't the brightest and if you use them as a fill light, they tend to wash out the colors in your photos. The camera does not have a screen on the back but it does have an optical viewfinder with a helpful frame also etched into the glass to help frame your shots. You can insert a micro sd memory card into the camera to save the photos you take with it. It is charged by micro usb and canon includes a short cable for you, but no power supply. I was able to charge it up with my phone brick. In my use, The battery held just enough charge to use a 10 pack of "film" It will need to recharge by the time you are done printing a 10 pack. The "film" Canon chose to employ for this camera is of the zero ink type, also known as "Zink" It takes the digital image and transfer it to the paper with heat. The camera has a 8mp sensor , there is no mention on lens specifications. I was a bit disappointed with the picture quality produced by the sensor and lens in this camera. The camera meters exposure just ok, but the colors and contrast aren't consistent. In other words, I would not depend on this camera to save your lasting memories, or the film for that matter. I did go out of my way to purchase a couple packs of Canons Zink paper, and it is better quality than competing brands. The adhesive seems stronger and the paper itself also seems stronger. The "zink" technology is very cool, but in my opinion the results are poor at this price point. The best thing about this camera is the ability to connect it to your phone via bluetooth and print photos that you may have taken with your phones superior camera, or even a real digital camera that you may already own! The app is easy to use and transfer photos to the printer simply and quickly.I have included two photos i Printed with the ivy cliq, but that were taken with my mirrorless camera. It is hard to recommend this camera to somebody that wants to take photos to cherish lasting memories with because the "film" is expensive and yields low quality images. This camera is a toy at best, or perhaps for a child whom you want to teach the basics of film and photography too. If you simply must have a hybrid camera / printer that makes stickers out of your photos for you, then perhaps you'll enjoy it.

This is a instant camera will be capable of printing 2x3-inch and now 2x2-inch Zink prints that is user selectable with a button. Users can also easily reprint the last photo again with a new reprint button. It's a 8-megapixel camera that features a square selfie mirror and auto-flash. There's a microSD slot for capturing and exporting photos and a USB port for charging. Another added feature is the ability to use Bluetooth and connect to the free Canon Mini Print App to print images on the IVY CLIQ+ from smartphones. These are really cool features on this modern version of a Polaroid and in my case, the ability to print from my Canon printer (which is very user friendly) is highly desirable since I feel the 2x3 pictures from camera itself are just too small and rather print regular 8x5 picture. As far the 8 meg camera picture quality is concern, is pretty good outside but not great in low light indoors as the look dark and grainy. This is good for selfie adventurers outside or maybe creating work related ID's but picture size should be at least 4x6 minimal.

This little camera/printer is a lot of fun. It’s like an old Polaroid as far as instant gratification and fun factor, but better when synced to a phone. On its own, the photos are fine, but phones have such sophisticated cameras now, that this is better for me as a mini printer. And everyone loves the instant reminder of a (well edited) good time.

I think a young child would enjoy this Instant Film Camera, but if you're looking for high-quality photos and prints, this device falls short. I had a difficult time getting a good light-dark balance. I think pictures came out much better outside in natural light...but in a darker space inside? Forget it. Also, the prints are noticeably washed out. Here's what I liked: * It's a good size for a quick camera that prints out your pics. * Setup and connectivity (to a phone, if wanted) was pretty simple. * The selfie lights and mirror are a smart addition. * Smooth and consistent prints (no lines like on an old inkjet) But I ran into many problems: * The image quality isn't great for both the saved image and the print (see sample photo). * The case has texture with tiny dimples. This is good for gripping, but attracts gunk quickly! * 2"x3" prints have limited usefulness. How many things can I stick them to? * Replacement paper is relatively expensive * Without paper, the whole device is useless This last point is important: If you run out of paper, the camera will not take any pictures - even if a memory card is present! This is even stated so in the FAQ! So I wonder who the target customer is for this. Even sending a photo from a much better camera resulted in a washed out print; and if there's any way to adjust this directly on the device, I have seen nothing to document it. In the end, I think this device is a novelty, or better suited for younger children. If you're getting this for a child, he or she is going to love it!

Alright! So let me start off by saying that I was contemplating between the instax mini and the canon ivy cliq plus. But I’m glad I went with the canon ivy cliq plus because it’s just so much more better. Pros: 1). Stick pictures in a scrapbook, refrigerator, on the wall. ( you can peel the back paper off and just stick it on) 2). You want to add cute emojis? No worries. ( install the app for the camera on your phone and add text, cute icons, & Press Print!) 3). The group picture finally came out nice & you need more than one copy? You got it! Just press the reprint picture button & there you go it! 4). No more Duracell batteries! (Charge it whenever you want to go out, it lasts the whole day) 5). Not confident with how a picture will come out? ( just take it on your phone and print it from there) it works as a mini printer. 6). So compact, it can be carried anywhere

The camera is good it has a selfie light so you can take fun and clear selfies especially at night with your friends or loved ones you can also print in two sizes 2 by 2 or 2 by 3 and it has a button to print a duplicate photo and a micro sd card slot expandable up-to 256gb you need to charge the camera up to 90 minutes or a hour and a half to fully charge the battery and Canon claims that you can print at least 10 photos before recharging the camera and also the pictures can stick there is a adhesive on the picture overall this is a really fun camera but I would say the only downsides I have with this camera is that you can’t preview the picture and you can’t take video anyways the camera is on sale as of now if you are a female I think you might like the Canon Ivy Cliq+ in RoseGold and if you like taking selfies with a ring light

IT IS SO CUTE! I love the colors, how it has a ring light AND the pictures turn out really great. I was worried it was going to bad quality. I bought a different Polaroid camera and had to return it because it looked like a child's toy. This is comparable to the fijian film camera but WAY more portable and easier to use!
