perfect gift for my daughter who love taking pictures of everything. reason for picking this one is because use can also insert a mini SD cards to download pictures later if out of instant film rolls.

The Canon – Ivy Cliq 2 Instant Film Camera (in Black), as with other instant film cameras, has a specific use and market. Keeping this in mind, this camera is almost there. Instant film cameras produce a photo image on the spot, giving the image right then as it is taken. The concept is perfect for friend photo-shoots, birthday parties, other get togethers. The Ivy Cliq 2 uses a peel and stick photo paper. The peel and stick concept is pretty great, as it can be kept as a normal photo for a wallet or actually stuck onto an object or in a book. Being able to peel and stick, allows for the photo to not be completely lost minutes after taking the photo, awesome. With this, comes limitations in that there is not a huge variety of photo paper. The camera comes with 10 photo papers, and extra papers do not seem to be overly expensive for this type of paper. The size of the photo papers is also wallet sized, which although smaller than a full-sized polaroid style image, is a manageable keepsake size. The camera itself is simple to use and would be acceptable for a broad range of ages. The camera did not come with any charge. There is a USB included without a power adapter, so either need to use a pre-existing set-up, a power adapter added, or into a USB port. I had no issues with this aspect of the camera, as I already had a cable that easily worked. Inserting the paper into the camera is with ease after quickly sliding off the back (as outlined in the quick start guide). There is a paper with information for the camera to read, and that gets loaded face down first. The image in the guide made this simple to know how to load the photo paper and easily close the camera back up. Powering on the camera is simple. And taking a photo, the traditional photo button placement. You may insert a microSD to save the images; however, the quality of the saved images is nothing to write home about. There are a few settings that the camera allows for including border placement or not, black and white filter, or vivid filter. The print outs themselves have a slight vintage coloring to them in my opinion, which vibes well with the style of immediate print outs. These settings are not extravagant; however, being built into the instant print camera is a nice feature (than without). The printing aspect is slightly louder than I expected, I tried to print my first image out while my wife was asleep and was worried it would wake her. The first print also ejects out the information sheet as previously mentioned, prior to printing the image. There is a slight delay, do not worry. There is also an LED indicator while the camera is powered on, showing standby status, printing photo by cycling through the indicator colors, and then color specific for lower battery, no paper, SD error, or print paper error. This just makes any trouble shooting easier to handle (I did not have any issues, but having indicators can not hurt!) My favorite aspect to this camera is the set-up for selfies. The front of the camera has a mirrored portion around the lens. This lets you easily see the selfie view that you will be taking with the camera. I did notice that it cut off a little lower than I was expecting in the image, but overall a fabulous feature. Since this will print whatever image you take, I feel it’s important to know that what you want in the image (or who) is included.
